    • Provided are a glass/resin laminate which is excellent in impact resistance and appearance and a process for producing the same. A glass/resin laminate (A) 10 including glass plates 13 laminated on both sides of a polycarbonate layer 11 through bonding layers 12 made of a thermoplastic resin, each of the glass plates 13 having a thickness of from 0.3 to 1 mm and having compressive stresses of at least 3 MPa on an entire surface thereof. The glass/resin laminate (A) 10 is obtainable by a process including a step (1) for disposing a bonding layer 12 on one side of a polycarbonate film having a certain thickness, the bonding layer being made of a thermoplastic resin; a step (2) for stacking a glass plate 13 on the bonding layer 12 to prepare a laminate (B) with the polycarbonate film and the glass plate 13 being laminated through the bonding layer 12; and a step (3) for preparing another similar laminate (B), placing both laminates (B) in a mold such that both polycarbonate films are confronted each other, and forming a polycarbonate layer between the confronted polycarbonate films.

    • A binder (20) having molding (70,80) thereon is provided. The binder may have two panels (40,50) connected to one another by a hinge and a binding mechanism connected to one of the panels and designed to receive an article, such as one or more sheets of loose-leaf paper and other such articles. Molding may be located on the hinges to reinforce the hinge and may be less hard than the panel material. Molding may be located along the entire length of the hinge or in discrete sections spaced from one another along the hinge. Molding may also be located on edges of the cover panels, such as along the entire edge or at the corners between the edges. The material of the molding may be a different material than the material of the panels. To form the molding on or with the panels, techniques such as comolding or overmolding may be employed.

    • A method of forming a vehicle trim component having a first layer and a second layer includes overlapping an edge of a first member of the first layer with an edge of a second member of the first layer within a mold having first and second mold portions and to define a seam location. One of the first and second mold portions and is moved into contact with the other of the mold portions to define a second layer cavity between the mold portion and the first layer. A second layer is formed within the cavity and adjacent the first layer, wherein the material defining the second layer urges the edges and of the first and second members into engagement with one another to define a seam in the first layer such that no portion of the material defining the second layer extends between the edges of the first and second members.
