摘要： A Filter for the removal of water from oil, the filter includes a distillation element having an inlet pipe that in one end is to be fluidly connectable to a reservoir of oil to be filtered, and in the other end being fluidly connected to a distillation head, said distillation head including a plurality of compressing tubes for injecting under pressure said oil into an evaporation chamber, whereby eventual water within the oil droplet evaporates from said decompressed oil, the filter further including a tubular core with a plurality of apertures and a hollow interior, said core having an open end for fluid communication with the hollow interior, a length of yarn wound around an outer surface of the core, wherein the filter further includes a device for blowing air or an inert gas into the evaporation chamber for removal of the water vapor during use of the filter. A method of manufacturing such a filter, as well as a method of removing water of is also disclosed. The water removal unit is part of a modular system, which makes the whole filter unit scalable within fixed steps. When water removing block with attached start block and end block, are stacked upon each other, and connected to filter unit, it becomes scalable complete cleaning equipment. Pump and motor must be adapted to each configuration.

摘要： A cavitation reactor having a pulse valve for receiving an input fluid flow and generating a pulsed output flow that is provided to the input of a resonance chamber, such as a tube. The pulse valve uses a shaft with a number of regularly spaced lands to form fluid conduits between an input port and the output port connected to the resonance tube to cause fluid communication between the input and output ports to be regularly opened and closed, thereby producing a pulsed output that drives the formation of resonance waves in the resonance chamber. The shaft is rotated at a suitable frequency to produce cavitation bubbles that collapse in the resonance chamber without damaging the valve shaft.

摘要： A method of demulsifying an emulsion is provided, the method comprising an initial step of supplying the emulsion to a fluid processor passage (14) having an inlet (16) and an outlet (18), wherein the cross sectional area of the passage (14) between the inlet (16) and outlet (18) does not reduce below the cross sectional area at the inlet (16). A transport fluid is supplied from a transport fluid source (60) to a transport fluid nozzle (34) which circumscribes the passage (14) and opens into the passage (14) intermediate the inlet (16) and the outlet (18). The transport fluid is accelerated through a throat (38) of the transport fluid nozzle (34), the throat (34) having a cross sectional area which is less than that of either the nozzle inlet (36) or nozzle outlet (40). The transport fluid is injected from the nozzle outlet (40) into the emulsion in the passage (14) such that the emulsion is atomised and a vapour-droplet regime is formed comprising a dispersed phase of emulsion droplets within a continuous vapour phase. At least some of the emulsion droplets are vaporised within the vapour-droplet regime and finally the vapour is condensed back to the liquid phase. An apparatus suitable for carrying out this method is also provided.

A coagulating agent and/or a flocculating agent, or both, are added to the emulsified waste stream to accelerate separation into an aqueous stream and a thickened emulsified stream. The coagulating agent can comprise alum. The flocculating agent can comprise a cationic polymer. Separation of the thickened emulsified stream into an oil-rich component, a second aqueous component, and a solid cake can be effected by mechanical separation in a centrifuge, filter, or press.
