摘要： Devices for insertion into a stoma formed in a patient's body are provided, comprising a tube having distal and proximal ends and defining a path for movement of waste. To retain the device in the stoma and seal the stoma, the tube includes a retention mechanism located on the distal end and/or a sealing mechanism extending along a length of the tube between the proximal and distal ends. Collection apparatus for collecting waste from a patient's body also are provided, comprising a waste pouch and a connector for connecting the collection apparatus to a device inserted into a stoma. Additionally, waste collection systems for collecting waste from a patient's body are provided, comprising a tube for insertion into a stoma and a waste pouch. Each system may comprise a separate tube and waste pouch or the tube and waste pouch may be formed as an integral, inseparable component.

摘要： The present invention is a catheter assembly with a catheter and a package for a catheter. The package and catheter is provided with a seal restricting passage of fluid between the package and the catheter. The assembly allows the catheter to be used without complete removal from the package. During urination, the assembly prevents urine to flow from the outlet of the catheter and back through the package in a direction towards the user of the catheter. The seal allows the catheter to be dispensed from the package while the sealing is maintained and the assembly thus allows non-contaminated insertion and use of the catheter while the catheter is partly maintained in the package.

摘要： There is provided a disposable ostomy bag assembly (1) comprising a bag (3) for receiving bodily waste materials; a compactable sheath (2) for closing and sealing the bag (3) after use; and a flange (4) for securing the assembly to the body of a patent and provided with an orifice to enable bodily waste to be received by the bag (3). The ostomy assembly (1) solves the problem of escaping malodour and bodily waste when the patient detaches the ostomy bag from the body (face plate (5)). The compactable sheath (2) can be stretched to acquire a cylindrical sheath (2) extending from the flange (4), whereby the sheath (2) may be closed in order to seal the contents of the bag (3). Closing the sheath (2) may simply be done by tying a knot (6).

摘要： An ostomy collecting bag is provided. The collecting bag has a continuous wall with a curvature instead of sealed edges. The collecting bag is truly three-dimensional. The collecting bag may be obtained by injection blow-moulding or extrusion blow-moulding. Methods of producing an ostomy collecting bags by either injection blow-moulding or extrusion blow-moulding is also provided. In injection blow-moulding, a pre-form is injection moulded and subsequently the pre-form is blow-moulded into an ostomy collecting bag. In extrusion blow-moulding, a tube is extruded and subsequently blow-moulded into an ostomy collecting bag. The ostomy collecting bag can thus be made without seals at the edges, which provides a more flexible collecting bag with a larger interior volume.
