    • The present invention relates to a node (1) in a wireless communication system comprising at least one antenna arrangement (2). The antenna arrangement (2) comprises at least a first antenna part (3) and a second antenna part (4), each antenna part (3, 4, 5) having a longitudinal extension along which extension a corresponding column axis (6, 7, 8) runs. The column axis divides each antenna part in two longitudinal sub-parts. Each antenna part (3, 4, 5) further comprises at least three antenna elements (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14) distributed along said column axis (6, 7, 8) and being connected to a corresponding antenna port arrangement (15, 16, 17). For each antenna part (3, 4, 5), at least one (10, 12, 14) of said antenna elements is positioned on said column axis (6, 7, 8), and at least one (9, 11, 13) of said antenna elements is positioned separate from said column axis (6, 7, 8).

    • The present invention relates to a method for beamforming a beam using an active antenna having predetermined aperture data predetermined aperture data comprising M×N dual polarized antenna subarrays within an aperture, each dual polarized antenna subarray comprising a first antenna subarray having a first polarization and a second antenna subarray having a second polarization non-parallel with the first polarization. The method comprises: selecting number of antenna ports, each antenna port being adapted to generate a separate beam using a combination from the first antenna subarray and/or the second antenna subarray; selecting port properties, comprising target beamwidth for each separate beam and desired polarization between beams; and determining port partitioning based upon aperture data and port properties for each antenna port, to adjust an effective length of the aperture over which the beam is created and thereby defining which first antenna subarray(s) and/or second antenna subarray(s) to use for each antenna port.

    • The present invention relates to a method for detecting a number of user terminals (8a, 8b), each of said user terminals (8a, 8b) comprising a receiver unit (10), a transmitter unit (11) and a control unit (12) arranged to control said receiver unit (10) and transmitter unit (11), each of said user terminals (8a, 8b) also being associated with a wireless communication network (1) comprising a plurality of network cells (2, 3), each being equipped with a node (4, 5). The method comprises detecting (16) communication between each of said user terminals (8a, 8b) and an associated node (4; 5) of said wireless communication network (1). Furthermore, the method comprises: detecting (17) a first control message being transmitted from a user terminal (8a, 8b); detecting (18) a second control message being transmitted from a node (4; 5), said second control message being associated with the first control message; and increasing (19) a counter (15a) representing said number of user terminals (8a, 8b) based on detection of transmission of said control messages.
