    • The disclosure relates to a system comprising an antenna (ANT) divided in two symmetric parts. Each part comprises a respective radiation element (RE_1, RE_2). The system is arranged to feed a first signal into a first radiation element (RE_1) of a first part of the antenna (ANT), to generate a second signal, and to feed the second signal into a second radiation element (RE_2) of the second part of the antenna (ANT). The second signal is obtained by substantially inverting the phase of the first signal.
      The disclosure also relates to a cellular base station comprising such system, to a network of cellular base stations, to methods for reducing interferences, to a computer program for implementing such method, and to a storage medium storing such computer program.

    • A short wave omnidirectional antenna for the 26 Megahertz band provides line-of-sight broadcasting at comparatively low power to serve local communities while suppressing sky wave propagation. Sky wave suppression is achieved by a critically configured reflector above the radiator or by a co-located second active or parasitic radiator spaced to achieve sufficient beam tilt to create a null at critical angles, generally from the horizon to thirty degrees above. This arrangement allows local broadcasts to be originated at numerous sites despite the narrow extent of the band (330 kHz) and the narrow (10 kHz) channel width. Among other possible applications, the antenna supports transmission using the Digital Radio Mondiale® (DRM®) system for COFDM. COFDM technology can suppress ghosting and most noise, while low emission angle of the antenna and low intended transmitter power largely prevent interference between broadcasts at moderate distances.

    • A narrow and light mobile radio antenna that requires convenient supporting metal fittings provided in a base station is provided. An inner conductor (1b) of a coaxial feed line (1) extends upward by a length of 1/4 wavelength from the upper end (1c) of an outer conductor (1a). This extended inner conductor (1b) forms an antenna element (3). Outside the coaxial feed line (1), a 1/4-wavelength sleeve-like metal pipe made of brass (2) is located with one end connected to the upper end (1c) of the outer conductor (1a). On a part of the inner surface of the open end of the metal pipe (2), an internal thread (2b) is formed by tapping. In the open end of the metal pipe (2), an insulating spacer (4) having an external thread (4a) formed around its periphery is inserted. In other words, the insulating spacer (4) is located between the inner wall of the metal pipe (2) and the outer conductor (1a) of the coaxial feed line (1). At the lower end (1d) of the coaxial feed line (1), a coaxial connector (5) for connection with an external circuit is provided.
