The guide element (10, 11) includes an element for self-centering (18, 19, 20) the hood (12) relative to the body, along a direction transverse (Y) to the vehicle while the hood (12) slides in the first direction, ensuring that the closed position of the hood (12) is a predetermined position in the transverse direction (Y) and is constant, more particularly centered, relative to the body.
