摘要： A display device, comprising a pair of light transmissive substrates space apart by a distance; an edge seal coupled to opposing surfaces of the pair of light transmissive substrates, the edge seal including an opening and surrounding a space between the pair of light transmissive substrates; an end seal closing the opening of the edge seal, thereby encapsulating the space; an oil filling the space; a spacer, positioned within the oil, for maintaining the distance between the pair of light transmissive substrates; a plurality of mechanical shutters positioned in the oil defining a display region; and a wall portion formed on at least one of the opposing surfaces of the pair of light transmissive substrates at a position interrupting a shortest path between the opening of the sealing member and the display region, the wall portion being fabricated from at least one material also included in the mechanical shutters and the spacer.
