    • A steam generator includes: a water storage chamber which stores water therein, a first heating portion which heats water stored in the water storage chamber to generate steam, a water supply device which supplies the water storage chamber with water, a controller, a steam spout port which ejects steam generated in the water storage chamber therethrough, and a temperature detector which detects a temperature in the water storage chamber, wherein a water level in the water storage chamber is calculated depending on the temperature detected by the temperature detector, and wherein at the time of steam generation, the controller is configured to perform a water supply control of the water supply device based on the calculated water level such that a water volume from the first heating portion to a water surface is smaller than a water volume from the first heating portion to the bottom surface of the water storage chamber.

    • A steam generator (12) according to the present invention includes a boiler (17), a water supply pipe (18), a drainage pipe (20), and a steam supply pipe (19). The boiler (17) has a first side wall, a second side wall, a bottom wall, a water inlet, a drain outlet, and a steam discharge port. The water supply pipe (18) is connected to the water inlet, and supplies water to the boiler (17). The drainage pipe (20) is connected to the drain outlet, and extends to a drainage pipe outlet (20a) positioned below the drain outlet by way of a curved portion (35) thereof having a shape projecting upward from the drain outlet. The steam supply pipe (19) is connected to the steam discharge port, and supplies steam generated by the boiler (17) to a cavity (5). The bottom wall has an inner bottom surface downwardly inclined from the first side wall toward the second side wall which faces the first side wall. The water inlet is formed in the first side wall in a vicinity of the inner bottom surface, and the drain outlet is formed in the second side wall at a position in the vicinity of the inner bottom surface and lower than the water inlet.
