    • The invention has an object of providing a process for producing an ethylene/α-olefin/non-conjugated polyene copolymer with good polymerization activity and high conversion of non-conjugated polyene.
      The invention achieves the object by providing a process for producing an ethylene/α-olefin/non-conjugated polyene copolymer that comprises copolymerizing ethylene, an α-olefin and a non-conjugated polyene in a hydrocarbon solvent with use of a transition metal compound catalyst, and removing the unreacted monomers and the hydrocarbon solvent from the copolymer solution without removing the catalyst residue, wherein the copolymerization is carried out at a polymerization temperature of 100°C or above and a polymerization pressure of 2.7 MPa or above in a manner such that the non-conjugated polyene concentration in the polymerization solution is less than the maximum non-conjugated polyene concentration Cmax (mol/L) indicated below:

      Cmax = 0.050 (mol/L) when the copolymer has an iodine value (IV) of 9.0 g/100 g to less than 17.0 g/100 g; or
      Cmax = 0.104 (mol/L) when the copolymer has an iodine value (IV) of 17.0 g/100 g or above.

    • The present invention provides an olefin resin with an improved heat resistance, reduced stickiness, excellent optical and low temperature properties, as well as the balance between these physical properties. The olefin resin according to the present invention satisfies the following requirements: (I) a melting peak (Tm) is observed within the range of from 60°C to 130°C, and the heat of fusion ΔH at the melting peak is within the range of from 5 to 150 J/g; (II) the percentage E (wt%) of a portion soluble in o-dichlorobenzene at 20 °C or lower, and the heat of fusion ΔH satisfy certain relationships; (III) the glass transition temperature (Tg) is from -80 to -30°C; (IV) the spin-spin relaxation time (T2) of a component having the highest mobility, as obtained in a four-component approximation with a Lorentzian function performed for a free induction decay curve, is within the range of from 150 to 500 ms, and the abundance ratio of the component is within the range of from 15 to 50%; and (V) the intrinsic viscosity [η] as measured in decalin at 135°C is within the range of from 0.1 to 12 dl/g.

    • A process for polymerizing an olefin is capable of polymerizing an olefin with excellent polymerization activity, and comprises polymerizing or copolymerizing an olefin at a polymerization reaction temperature of 50 to 200 °C in the presence of a catalyst comprising a transition metal compound (A) represented by the following formula (I), a compound (B-1) having a reduction ability which reacts with the transition metal compound (A) to convert an imine structure moiety to a metal amide structure, and a compound (B-2) which reacts with the transition metal compound (A) to form an ion pair;
