    • A switch device is arranged such that the intermediate portion of a shape memory alloy wire (17) is held by a drive body (9) connected to one end of a link mechanism (4), and the opposite ends of the shape memory alloy wire (17) are fixedly held by a printed board (13). The opposite ends of the shape memory alloy wire (17) are fixed on the printed board (13), and the shape memory alloy wire (17) is heated by power supplied from a circuit, so that it is deformed by shape memory effect, thereby actuating the drive body (9). At that time, since the electric connection is fixed, there is no possibility of damage due to fatigue even when repetitive operations are frequently performed, thus improving reliability. Further, separate parts such as electric wires become unnecessary, contributing to simplicity, and the process for attaching electric wires also becomes unnecessary, making it possible to provide an inexpensive switch device.
