摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus and method for controlling the discharge or charge power of a battery, capable of preventing over-charge and over-discharge of battery cells according to states of the battery cells, and solving a problem that the lifetime of a conventional battery pack is rapidly reduced due to the over-charge or over-discharge of some cells of the battery pack. The method includes the steps of estimating the maximum power of the battery, measuring voltage of a battery cell or pack, checking whether or not the voltage of the battery cell or pack deviates from a preset limited range so as to correspond to the maximum power, and when the voltage of the battery cell or pack deviates from a preset limited range, controlling the discharge or charge power of the battery.

摘要： Disclosed are a system and method for charging a battery pack. The system uses a recovery vehicle to quickly charge a vehicle battery pack. The system includes a charging power supply module equipped in the recovery vehicle, quick charging power lines placed in the vehicle battery pack, a quick charge switch placed in the quick charging power lines, and a control module. The charging power supply module supplies quick charging power to the vehicle battery pack. The quick charging power lines provide charging paths through which the charging power supplied from the charging power supply module is provided to battery cells of the vehicle battery pack. The quick charge switch selectively opens or closes the charging paths. The control module is adapted to turn off a charge control switch and a discharge control switch placed in a charging/discharging path of the vehicle battery pack and to turn on the quick charge switch when the connection of the charging power supply module to the quick charging power lines is sensed, so that the charging power is provided to the battery cells.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for structuring a comparative reference value used to estimate a residual charge (SOC/ State of Charge) of a battery. The method comprises comprising steps of : measuring open circuit voltages (OCV) and residual capacities (SOC) of a battery at various temperatures and tabling them according to the temperatures; measuring an open circuit voltage (OCVl) at a temperature before a test; carrying out a discharge capacity counting (Ah-counting) for the battery using a measurement apparatus while carrying out a dynamic pattern test; providing a sufficient relaxation time period for the battery after ending the dynamic pattern test; measuring an open circuit voltage (OCV2) at a temperature after the sufficient relaxation time period; obtaining residual capacity values of the battery corresponding to the measured open circuit voltages (OCVl, 0CV2) from the table; assuming a difference between the above-obtained two residual capacity values as a δSOC and calculating an IC- rated capacity based on the δSOC; and applying the calculated rated capacity as a denominator of the discharge capacity counting to calculate an exact residual capacity of the battery.

摘要： Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for detecting abnormality of a current sensor operative to measure a charge or discharge current of a battery pack. The method comprises measuring current and voltage of the battery pack; and detecting abnormality of the current sensor by comparing variations in current and voltage over a predetermined time with a current reference value and a voltage reference value, respectively.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus and method for estimating a state of charge (SOC) in a battery, in which the battery SOC is estimated using a fusion type soft computing algorithm, thereby accurately estimating the battery SOC in a high C-rate environment. The apparatus includes a detector unit for detecting current, voltage and temperature of a battery cell; and soft computing unit for outputting a battery SOC estimation value of processing the current, the voltage and the temperature detected by the detector unit using a radial function based on a neural network algorithm. Especially, the soft computing unit combines the neural network algorithm with any one of a fuzzy algorithm, a genetic algorithm (GA), a cellular automata (CA) algorithm, an immune system algorithm, and a rough-set algorithm, and thereby adaptively updates the parameters of the neural network algorithm.
