    • Provided are switch deterioration detection device and method. More particularly, the switch deterioration detection device includes: a resistor serially connected with a battery in which charge and discharge are controlled through a switch; a first differential amplifier configured to amplify a voltage difference between both ends of the switch to output the amplified voltage difference as a first output voltage; a second differential amplifier configured to amplify a voltage difference between both ends of the resistor to output the amplified voltage difference as a second output voltage; a comparator configured to compare levels between the second and second output voltages; and a controller configured to determine whether the switch deteriorates based on the compared result of the comparator.

    • The invention relates to a method for detecting arcs in a direct-current circuit by means of a detection conductor, which is led at least along a conductor of the direct-current circuit that carries a voltage and is to be monitored. According to the invention, a voltage signal related to a potential of the direct-current circuit is coupled into the detection conductor at an incoupling point via a series resistor, the voltage signal is coupled out at an outcoupling point of the detection conductor, the voltage signal before the series resistor is compared with the voltage signal at the outcoupling point, and an arc is inferred if the voltage signal at the outcoupling point deviates from the voltage signal before the series resistor by more than a specified amount. The invention further relates to a device for carrying out the method. The method and the device enable fast and reliable detection of an arc in a direct-current circuit.
