The invention is characterized in that the shaping and filling head (28) is moved from the sealing position into a position spaced apart from the container (11) after the conclusion of the shaping and filling phase, then the sealing cap (15) is fed into the region between the container (11) and the shaping and filling head (28), and then the sealing cap (15) is pressed onto the container (11) in a container longitudinal direction (32) by the shaping and filling head (28).
