The composite signal is filtered according to the whitening filter to generate a filtered signal. A symbol hypothesis for a symbol of the first component signal is evaluated using a metric with respect to the filtered signal that is a function of the whitening filter and the channel model, for example, in a multidimensional Viterbi symbol estimation algorithm. 摘要： Methods, systems and receiver devices are provided which may provide improved receiver performance in obtaining estimates of the complex-valued baseband channel in the presence of colored baseband noise. In various embodiments of the present invention, systems and methods are provided in which, over each synchronization signal period or other determinate information window, the channel coefficients and the color of the baseband noise are concurrently estimated. Thus, both the channel coefficients and the color of the noise are estimated, rather than assuming white noise, and channel coefficients may be provided that account for the color of the noise These estimates may be provided for each burst of a communication and may result in an improved channel estimate in the presence of colored noise. The baseband noise can become colored due to, for example, having a non-Nyquist receive filter, due to the presence of a colored co-channel interferer, or due to the presence of an adjacent channel interferer. The concurrent estimates of the color of the noise and channel coefficients may be provided iteratively or by selection of a best result among a plurality of candidate noise color assumptions.

摘要： A convolutional feedback encoder uses a shift type shift register with both feed-forward and feedback circuit structures to process and encode a fixed length information sequence. The encoder is configured, through careful selection of the feedback coefficients, so as to achieve a tail-biting mode of operation. Tail-biting means that the state of the encoder prior to the input of the first uncoded data bit is the same as the state of the encoder upon input of the last uncoded data bit. The starting state of the encoder is found by linearly combining data bits in the information sequence. The linear combinations are determined by a selection matrix or selection vector which is derived from the feedback coefficients of the encoder.

摘要： A wideband radio receiver provides a complex baseband signal by normalizing an IF signal using a limiting amplifier. The normalized IF signal is applied to a complex sampling circuit to provide normalized I and Q components. The limiting amplifier provides an RSSI signal representing the received signal amplitude. The RSSI signal, which is sampled at the same rate as the normalized IF signal, is combined with the normalized and Q components, to provide I and Q components of the baseband signal.
