A harmonic signal is then generated as the difference between the sample value and the fundamental component of the sample. An output signal representing total harmonic distortion is then generated as the ratio of the RMS value of the harmonic signal to the RMS value of the fundamental signal converted to a percentage.

A second operational amplifier (63, 115) is connected as a follower to the last output (61, 111) of the multiplexer (47, 97) so that the gain applied to the output signal is not distorted by the resistance of the switches (49-53, 99-103) in the multiplexer. For three-phase systems not having a neutral conductor, phase to neutral voltages with ranging are generated by subtracting a neutral-to-ground voltage produced from an artificial ground (13) created by connecting three resistors (11A, 11B, 11C) in a wye across the phase conductors (5A, 5B, 5C) from the phase-to-ground voltages applied to the ranging circuit input.

摘要： A hybrid monolithic IC that is standardized for controlling various types of electrical equipment, such as circuit breakers, motor controllers and the like. The IC is a hybrid monolithic IC, fabricated in CMOS technology. An electrical overcurrent circuit provides both digital based modeling and analog based modeling of the temperature of an electrical conductor to simulate the conductor temperature during all expected operating conditions including a condition when electrical power is unavailable to the electrical overcurrent circuitry.

The stored settings for each switch (46) of the dip switch (47) for a selected position of the BCD switch (49) are displayed on an LED bar graph (55). The stored settings are only updated to the current positions of the switches of the dip switch (47) upon activation of a "PROG" switch (53). This arrangement of switches (47, 49, 53) and the EEPROM (51) replace the multiple dip switches previously required to program all of the settings of the monitor (1).
