摘要： For the line electrodes composed of lines of electrodes extending in the line direction on one substrate and the column electrodes composed of columns of electrodes extending in the column direction on the other substrate, information on image of one frame is displayed by applying a voltage while scanning the line electrodes from one end to the other. Specifically, two or more lines are added at the end of a scan, and drive for performing a display with the first color and a display with the second color once or more times is performed after one scan (a first invention). Pulse voltages composed of voltages including a drive voltage of the ON state and a voltage of the OFF state lower than the threshold voltage at which the display medium starts moving are applied as drive voltage applied to the electrodes to produce an electric field (a second invention). Further, a pulse is applied a plurality of times when one pixel rewrite is performed, and the drive waveform is adjusted so that the polarity of the crosstalk voltage applied to non-rewritten pixels does not change during one pixel rewrite (a third invention).

摘要： The first invention relates to an image display in which at least one kind of particles or a powdery fluid is sealed in the space between two opposed substrates at least one of which is transparent and the particles or powdery fluid is moved by applying an electric field to the particles or powdery fluid by means of two electrodes of different potentials so as to display an image, wherein a member for sending a signal to be applied to a circuit for image display and a substrate are connected through an anisotropic conductive film and members including electrodes are mounted on the substrate opposed to the transparent substrate. The second to sixth inventions relate to an image display in which an electrode is provided on a substrate with a transparent elastic member interposed therebetween, a reflection preventive layer is provided, the bonding of the substrates through a partition wall is optimized.
