摘要： A chain drive (1), in particular for a window, a flap or a dome light, comprising a housing (2) and an electric motor (8) which, by means of a transmission (9), drives a drive pinion (10) which is in engagement with a chain (5) which is formed from chain links and which is received in a retracted position in the housing (2) and can be conveyed, by means of the drive pinion (10), out of the housing (2) and can then be conveyed again into said housing through an opening therein, wherein a stripper which engages around the chain links of the chain (5) is arranged in the region of the opening on the housing (2), the chain links being able to be guided through said stripper. As a result, wet and dirt can be cleaned at least partially from the chain (5) by the stripper (20) when said chain is being retracted.

The bridging element and the sheets define therebetween a plurality of separate generally rectilinear evacuated compartments containing a self-supporting insulating element. The bridging element comprise first flat regions extending along the inside face of the first sheet, second flat regions extending along the inside face of the second sheet, and connecting regions extending between the first and second flat regions, There are seals between the flat regions of the bridging element and the inside face of the sheets. If one compartment is punctured only that compartment is affected. The seals prevent loss of vacuum in adjacent compartments.

摘要： A facade / wall system comprises a number of modules. Each module comprises a plurality of insulating panels (1) which have connection means on opposite sides thereof for interengaging the panels (1) together at joints (2) between the panels (1). Reinforcing elements in the form of top hat sections (3) bridge the joints (2) between adjacent panels (1). The top hat reinforcement elements used to interconnect adjacent panels in a module ensure that the composite panels act together as monolithic structure that creates a diaphragm whilst providing a surface to which cladding can be fixed and also providing a cavity between the panels and the cladding attached to the modules. They stiffen the panels and thereby enhance resistance to deflection. The reinforced panels create a wall that distributes its own self weight, as a diaphragm, to the points of no deflection, at the building columns. The modules are pre-fabricated and readily craned into position on site, allowing the building to be rendered weather resistant by mounting the modules in place from the inside of the building. The system is cost effective and relatively easy and quick to install.

摘要： A solar collector includes a solar absorbing tube containing an elongate tube that extends out of one end of the solar absorbing tube and into an end fitting. An annular outer passageway of the elongate tube communicates with a cold fluid inlet conduit within the end fitting. An inner passageway of the elongate tube communicates with a hot water outlet conduit within the end fitting. Each end fitting 15 is provided with a receiving portion extending orthogonally to the tubular passage for receiving an end of the concentric elongated tube. The end fittings are interconnected to provide fluid flow paths without the need for a manifold. Any number of solar collector tubes can be interconnected in this way.
