    • An object of the present invention is to provide a multiple disc clutch apparatus which can reduce both the drag torque and the sticking torque and simultaneously reduce the weight of the multiple disc clutch apparatus. According to the present invention, there is provided a multiple disc clutch apparatus comprising substantially annular multiple clutch discs to be connected to an input-side from an engine; substantially annular multiple clutch plates to be alternately laminated with the clutch discs and connected to an output-side to a wheel; and frictional members secured on surfaces of the clutch discs opposing to the clutch plates and adapted to be capable of press-contacting with or separating from the clutch plates; a power from the engine being transmitted to the wheel when the clutch discs and the clutch plates are press-contacted each other via the frictional members and the power transmission between the engine and the wheel being blocked by releasing the press-contacting force characterized in that depressions are formed on each clutch plate extending along its periphery and toward radially inward; and that a part of the frictional members is positioned within a region of the depressions.

    • Provided is a clutch device which facilitates an operation of checking whether or not spring seats have been properly disposed, and effectively prevents falling off or a change in attitude of the spring seats, to thereby reduce the labor of manufacturing work. A clutch device 100 includes a pressure plate 110 which presses, friction plates 103, which are rotationally driven by a driving shaft, against clutch plates 107. The pressure plate 110 includes clutch springs 112 and spring seats 113 disposed in receiving portions 111 having a concave shape. Each spring seat 113 has two plate-shaped arms 113a and 113b extending along the bottom 111a of the receiving portion 111, and has a C-like shape. Protrusions 114a and 114b project from the peripheries of the arms 113a and 113b. Recesses 111b into which the protrusions 114a and 114b fit are formed in an inner wall portion of each receiving portion 111 at a position near the bottom 111a of the receiving portion 111.

    • One object of the present invention is to provide a power transmitting apparatus which can improve its power transmitting efficiency with reducing the speed shift time lag as well as reducing the longitudinal dimension of the input shaft and thus a whole longitudinal dimension of the power transmitting apparatus. According to the present invention there is provided a power transmitting apparatus comprising a plurality of gear stage clutch means arranged on the way of a power transmitting path between an engine and the wheels, the input from a input shaft of the engine side and the output to the wheel side of the gear stage clutch means being set at predetermined gear ratios; and a gear stage selecting means being able to select any one of the gear stage clutch means in accordance with the running condition of a vehicle and to arbitrarily set the gear ratio during power transmission from the engine to the wheels characterized in that each of said gear stage clutch means comprises alternately arranged driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs; hydraulic pistons actuated by hydraulic oil to selectively engage or disengage the driving clutch discs and driven clutch discs; hydraulic chambers for actuating the hydraulic pistons; and supplying ports communicating with oil passages formed within the input shaft and opening on the side surface of the input shaft for supplying the hydraulic chambers with hydraulic oil from the oil passages to actuate the hydraulic pistons; that the power can be transmitted at a predetermined gear ratio with engaging the driving clutch discs with driven clutch discs of the gear stage clutch means of an arbitrary gear stage by selectively supplying hydraulic oil to the hydraulic chambers ; and that a plurality of the supplying ports are formed on a same plane of a radial cross-section of the input shaft.

    • An object of the present invention is to provide a power transmitting apparatus which can suppress the rotational vibrations by suppressing rotation of the pressure member relative to the clutch member. According to the present invention, there is provided a power transmitting apparatus comprising a clutch housing rotatable together with an input member and mounted thereon a plurality of driving-side clutch discs; a clutch member mounted thereon a plurality of driven-side clutch discs arranged between the driving-side clutch discs alternately therewith and connected to an output member; and a pressure member mounted on the clutch member axially movably relative to the clutch member so that the driving-side clutch discs and the driven-side cutch discs are forced to be press-contacted each other and the press-contacting force acting on them are released in accordance with axial approach and separation of the pressure member relative to the clutch member in order to transmit a rotational driving force inputted to the input member to the output member or cut off the rotational driving force from the output member characterized in that the power transmitting apparatus further comprises a slide-suppressing member for applying sliding resistance to the pressure member when the pressure member is rotated relative to the clutch member.
