    • An ink-jet head according to the invention includes a passage unit (4) including a plurality of pressure chambers (10) one end of each of which is connected to a nozzle (8) and the other end of which is to be connected to an ink supply source, and actuator unit (21) for changing the volume of each of the pressure chambers. The actuator unit includes a common electrode (34a,34b) maintained at a constant potential, a plurality of individual electrodes (35a,35b) arranged at positions corresponding to each pressure chamber, and a plurality of piezoelectric sheets (41-45) which are sequentially laminated. The piezoelectric sheets most distant from the pressure chamber among the plurality of piezoelectric sheets is sandwiched between the common electrode and at least one of the individual electrodes. Further, each of the individual electrodes arranged on a face of the piezoelectric sheet (41) most distant from the pressure chamber facing the direction opposite to the pressure chamber is electrically bonded to a feeding terminal provided on an electricity feeding member (55a,55b) at each of a plurality of electric contacts on the individual electrode.

    • An ink-jet head comprises a passage unit (204) including pressure chambers (210) connected with a nozzle (208) and an ink supply source. The ink-jet head further comprises actuator units (221) for changing the volume of each pressure chamber. Each actuator unit includes pressure generation portions (A1) respectively corresponding to pressure chambers, and is formed to extend over the pressure chambers. The actuator units are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the passage unit so that each neighboring actuator units partially overlap each other in the lateral direction of the passage unit. Each actuator unit has a basic region (P1) where many pressure generation portions (A1) are formed in a matrix, and an additional region (P2) neighboring the basic region in the lateral direction of the passage unit. In the additional region (P2), additional pressure generation portions (A2) are formed to compensate for a gap portion (G) between the pressure generation portions of adjacent basic regions.

    • An arranging structure of print wire driving units in print head utilized in a shuttle printer is disclosed. In such structure, a plurality of head units U each of which comprises the row R1 and the row R2 of the print wire driving units 10a, 10b, are arranged in the print head H1.
