摘要： A hot melt ink jet print head in which ink can be circulated without an ink level difference between a main chamber (11) and a sub chamber (13). The main chamber (11) and the sub chamber (13) of an ink tank (10) is connected via a channel (21). The main chamber (11) is connected to a nozzle head (31) via an outgoing channel. Also the sub chamber (13) is connected to the nozzle head (31) via a returning channel (37). Two valves (27,28) are provided inside of the sub chamber (13), each for closing either one of the channel (21) and the returning channel (37). Normally, the returning channel (37) is closed by the valve (28), and the channel (21) is opened, so that ink can flow from the sub chamber (13) to main chamber (11) and further to the nozzle head (31). However, during the purging operation, the channel (21) is closed with the valve (27), and the returning channel (37) is opened, so that the ink can flow from the main chamber (11) to the sub chamber (13) via the nozzle head (31).
