摘要： A method and system for a long range Radio Frequency (RF)-based identification, tracking and locating of objects. The method and system use a narrow bandwidth ranging signal(s), including VHF of lower frequency bands, which minimizes propagation loss and loss of accuracy of the RF locating signals. The method and system includes narrow bandwidth ranging signal multi-path mitigations processor, which further improves the track-locate accuracy. The signal is sent from a Master Unit(s) to a Tag. The signal traveling time is recorded and the distance between the Master(s) and the Tag is calculated. The method and system allow achieving a longer distance of the RF narrow bandwidth ranging signal penetration and an increased accuracy by using VHF bands in conjunction with the narrow bandwidth ranging signal multi-path mitigations processor. The techniques of Digital Signal Processing and Software-Defined Radio are used. The actual waveforms transmitted and received by the radios are defined by the software. The roles of the Master Unit(s) and the Tag can be reversed.

摘要： Methods and systems are directed to managing a protocol network failure in a network clustering system. A cluster master and each client member in the cluster are configured to determine a primary protocol network, a secondary protocol network, and the like, for exchanging a cluster protocol message. Each client member in the cluster determines its 'active protocol network' from at least the primary protocol network, and the secondary protocol network when it joins the cluster. Each client member tests its connectivity to the cluster master through the primary protocol network. If a client member detects a failure on the primary protocol network, it dynamically fails over to the secondary protocol network, or the like, without leaving the cluster. If connectivity to the primary protocol network is restored, the client member dynamically resumes the protocol message exchange on the primary protocol network without leaving the cluster.

摘要： In a wireless location system, narrowband receivers are used in a mode, known as automatic synchronous or sequential tuning, in which the receivers are tuned sequentially and in unison to a plurality of predefined RF channels. Signal transmissions of interest in these channels are digitally recorded and used in location processing. A location record or report is generated to identify an estimated location of one or more wireless transmitters. The identity of the located transmitter(s) is determined by matching the location record to data indicating which wireless transmitters were in use at a time corresponding to the location record, and which cell sites and RF channels were used by each wireless transmitter. This method is especially suited for voice or traffic channel tracking of wireless mobile transmitters, such as cellular telephones.

摘要： The invention relates to an aided Global Positioning System (GPS) subsystem within a wireless device. The wireless device includes a wireless processing section capable of receiving signals from a wireless network and a GPS subsystem having a radio frequency (RF) front-end capable of receiving a GPS satellite signal. The wireless processing section of the wireless device receives an external clock and determines the offset between the clock in the wireless processing section and that of the external clock. The GPS subsystem then receives the offset information from the wireless processing section, information related to the nominal frequency of the wireless processing section clock and the wireless processing section clock. Using this information and the GPS clock in the GPS subsystem, the GPS subsystem determines an acquiring signal, which is related to a frequency offset between the GPS clock and the network clock. The GPS subsystem then acquires GPS satellite signals in an acquiring unit though the use of the acquiring signal.
