摘要： An apparatus for controlling a working fluid pressure in a brake cylinder comprises: a low-pressure source (31); a solenoid-operated pressure control valve (58, 62) between low-pressure source and brake cylinder including a solenoid-operated seating valve (130) having a valve seat (134), a valve member (136) movable to be seated on and unseated from said valve seat, and a device (132) for generating an electromagnetic drive force (Fs) such that said force acts on said valve member in a first direction for moving said valve member to be seated on said valve seat, said seating valve being constructed such that the pressure difference force (Fp) between the fluid pressures in said low-pressure source (31) and said brake cylinder (50, 52) acts on said valve member in a second direction opposite to said first direction; and a controller for controlling the energy applied to said electromagnetic force generating device, depending upon the fluid pressure in said brake cylinder, when said valve member of said seating valve is held seated on said valve seat.

摘要： In order to improve the braking force support in emergency braking operations, an armature (18) which co-operates with a permanent magnet (19) is provided in the control valve housing (7) of a vacuum-powered brake servo. Said armature is coupled to the actuating member (8) in the direction of actuation. The armature (18) is prestressed in an elastic manner against the direction of actuation and is held at a first distance from the permanent magnet (19) whilst the control valve (6) is in the initial position. In the course of an emergency braking operation, the armature (18) approaches the permanent magnet (19) and as soon as the distance between said armature and the permanent magnet falls short of a second predetermined distance which is less than the first distance, the armature is drawn by the permanent magnet against the elastic prestressing force acting upon said armature (18) into position against the permanent magnet (19), disconnecting the rigid coupling in the direction of actuation to the actuating member (8). In order to adjust the distance between the armature (18) and the permanent magnet (19) of the vacuum-powered brake servo (1) in its inactive state, the axial position of the permanent magnet (19) in relation to the control valve housing (7) and/or the distance between the armature (18) and the valve seat (10) can be set.

摘要： Disclosed is a braking system for motor vehicles. The inventive braking system can be controlled in a brake by wire operational mode by the driver of the motor vehicle or independently from said driver. Preferably, the inventive braking system is operated in a brake by wire operational mode and can be operated in a release mode wherein it is actuated solely by the driver. The braking system includes inter alia separating piston devices (6a, 6b) which co-operate with a piston cylinder arrangement actuated by the brake pedal. Said separating piston devices are connected to be brakes of the vehicle. In order to improve the operational safety of the braking system and, more particularly, to offset errors arising from several release modes, the separating piston devices (6a, 6b) can be actuated in at least one release mode in one particular direction which corresponds to the actuating device when it is in a brake by wire operational mode.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for carrying out an automatic braking procedure in a vehicle during which a state variable for describing driver reactions and/or events occurring outside of the vehicle are detected by a sensor. This state variable is compared to a reference value and, when the reference value is exceeded, a brake pressure is automatically generated which is greater than the pressure generated at a corresponding position of the brake pedal. In order to increase the operational reliability, the automatic generation of brake pressure is interrupted for a determined hold time in case the state variable detected by the sensor is located outside of a permissible range of tolerance.

It is determined whether or not the ABS control is executed with respect to at least one of front wheels (step 104) when it is determined that the BA control is started. In the case that the ABS control is executed with respect to at least one of the front wheels, it is determined that a large amount of hydraulic pressure is fed to a wheel cylinder of a rear wheel at the same time when the BA control is started, thereby starting a BA slope restricting control for restricting an inlet thereof (step 108). In the case that the ABS control is not executed in the front wheel, a normal BA control is started (step 106).
