    • A rubber-based composite material is provided, which can enhance the adhesiveness between a non-woven fabric and a rubber. The use of the rubber-based composite material as a reinforcing material for rubber articles such as tires and belts can enhance the durability of the rubber articles and can reduce the weight of the articles. The rubber-based composite material is composed of a non-woven fabric, a coating of a metal or metallic compound reactable with sulfur, and a rubber that adheres to the coating and that covers the non-woven fabric. The coating is formed on a surface of the filaments constituting the non-woven fabric by a physical vapor deposition (PVD) method or a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method.

    • An antireflection film, which has excellent properties of preventing reflection and pollution, excellent marring resistance and chemical resistance and a low cost, comprises an organic film 4, a hard coating layer 3 formed on the organic film 4, a layer 2 having high index of refraction formed on the hard coating layer 3, and a surface layer 1 made of organic resin having excellent marring resistance and chemical resistance formed on the layer 2. Each of layers 1 through 3 is made of synthetic resin like acrylic resin. The high index of refraction of the layer 2 is brought by minute particles of metallic oxides having high indices of refraction included in the layer 2. Antistatic properties are given to either the layer 2 having high index of refraction or the hard coating layer 3 by doping electrically conductive minute particles.

    • An electromagnetic-wave shielding and light transmitting plate suitable for an electromagnetic-wave shielding filter for a PDP, which has good electromagnetic-wave shielding efficiency and light transparency, can provide distinct pictures, and can yet be easily made, is provided. Using an adhesive sheet formed by mixing the conductive particles into the EVA facilitates the manufacture of the aforementioned plate.
