    • For testing electrical properties of packaged IC devices, there is provided an apparatus which includes a test board which is located at a testing station and provided with a plural number of contacting sockets for connecting individual IC devices to an IC tester separately and independently of each other, a loader which is located at a loading station and adapted to feed untested IC devices toward the test board, an unloader which is located at an unloading station and adapted to discharge tested IC devices from the test board at the testing station, and a device transfer mechanism which is movable across the testing station to transfer untested IC devices from the loader to the test board and also to transfer tested IC devices from the test board to the unloader. Upon detecting completion of a test on one of IC devices in one socket of the test board, a fresh untested IC device is transferred to the testing station to replace the tested IC device. As soon as the fresh IC device is set in position in that socket, execution of a test program is started with respect to that socket on the test board.

    • The present invention relates to a transport device for transporting sheets (2) in a plant comprising a high-speed printer which is provided for printing the sheets (2) or a continuous web which is cut to sheets (2). The transport device includes at least one vacuum means (9b) having at least one vacuum opening (9c, 9d) and at least one conveyor belt (9a) with vacuum holes (9e) which communicates with the vacuum opening (9c, 9d), and a vacuum generating device (VA) for generating a vacuum in the vacuum opening (9c, 9d) of the vacuum means (9b) and in the vacuum holes (9e) of the conveyor belt (9a) such that said conveyor belt (9a) can engage and transport the sheets (2). The vacuum generating device comprises a compressor-air generating device (9f) from which compressed air is fed or supplied to at least one ejector (9g) such that a jet (D) of compressed air therein generates a vacuum in the vacuum openings (9c, 9d) in the vacuum means (9b) and the vacuum holes (9e) in the conveyor belts (9a). The ejector (9g) is located in a vacuum means (12 and/or 13) around which the conveyor belt (9a) runs.

    • A stacker for stacking labels die-cut from a continuous web by a die cutter into vertical stacks. The stacker is of the kind that includes at least one stacking chute having an upper opening and a number of mainly vertically arranged walls, at least one overlying belt conveyor having a conveyor belt designed with a number of suction holes distributed along the belt and having a lower run with a direction of conveyance running from the die cutter to the stacking chute, and a suction box located above the lower run and connected to a vacuum source communicating with the suction holes of the lower run via the suction box in an area around the die cutter but not in an area around the stacking chute. A channel for receiving the lower run of the conveyor belt or a lower part of this run is designed in at least a front wall of the walls of the stacking chute, seen in the direction of conveyance, said channel is extending in this direction. The stacker has a simple structure and is able to stack products at the same rate as a rotary die cutter can die-cut the products. Thereby, it is possible to utilize the capacity of the rotary die cutter completely.
