    • An attachment structure for a vehicle master cylinder that suppresses displacement of a pedal towards the rear of the vehicle to make it possible to maintain large legroom in front of the driver's seat. A clutch pedal is fitted to a dashboard via a pedal bracket. The master cylinder is attached to the side surface sections of the pedal bracket by a fastening member at a flange section so as to capable of swinging around a fixed axis extending in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. The master cylinder and the clutch pedal are mechanically connected through a push rod. If an external force greater than a specified value is input, the master cylinder swings around a fixed axis extending in the widthwise direction of the vehicle body. The push rod also swings with the pivot shaft as a fulcrum, accompanying swinging of the master cylinder. Displacement of the master cylinder and the push rod towards the rear of the vehicle is controlled by the swinging itself.

    • An arrangement is provided for permitting retraction of a vehicle foot pedal, operable on a push rod, in a frontal crash of sufficient magnitude. The push rod is of low ductability material, having a zone of weakness. A rotary member is attached to, and mounted on the blade for free rotation about a pivot, by which rotary member the blade is operably coupled to the push rod; and an activation arm is provided to cause partial rotation of the rotary member upon a frontal impact of sufficient magnitude, to apply a bending moment to the push rod to snap the push rod at its zone of weakness. This disconnects the push rod from the blade permitting free blade/pedal movement, and hence permitting retraction of the foot pedal away from the feet of the driver.

    • The invention relates to a method and arrangement for preventing the passage of preferably an unmanned mining vehicle. The invention is based on the idea of providing a mining vehicle, such as a loading vehicle, with a mast (7) arranged on its upper outer structure and extending above other portions of the vehicle. In connection with the mast there is provided an emergency stop switch. Furthermore, at the upper portion of a mine gallery, or a similar operating site, is provided a barrier boom reachable to the mast for bordering the accepted travel area of the mining vehicle. If the mining vehicle tries to leave the accepted area, the mast hits the barrier boom and thus triggers the switch arranged in connection with the mast, thereby causing the mining vehicle to stop.
