    • A service gateway includes a fast path module for processing data packets without using packet buffers and a normal path module for processing data packets using packet buffers. The fast path module receives a service request data packet from a client side session, determines that the service request data packet cannot be processed by the fast path module, and in response, sends the service request data packet to the normal path module. After receiving the service request data packet, the normal path module retrieves a first proxy session record created by the fast path module, where the first proxy session record is associated with a client session record for the client side session, creates a second proxy session record based on the service request data packet and the client session record, and processes the service request data packet according to the second proxy session record.

    • A test system for characterizing an antenna tuning element is provided. The test system may include a test host, a radio-frequency tester, and a test fixture. The test system may calibrate the radio-frequency tester using known coaxial standards. The test system may then calibrate transmission line effects associated with the test fixture using a THRU-REFLECT-LINE calibration algorithm. The antenna tuning element may be mounted on a test socket that is part of the test fixture. While the antenna tuning element is mounted on the test socket, scattering parameter measurements may be obtained using the radio-frequency tester. An equivalent circuit model for the test socket can be obtained based on the measured scattering parameters and known characteristics of the antenna tuning element. Once the test socket has been characterized, an equivalent circuit model for the antenna tuning element can be obtained by extracting suitable modeling parameters from the measured scattering parameters.

    • A mechanism is provided for dynamically controlling the process of an electronic meeting that includes at least two sub-meetings. A monitoring module monitors the occurrence of a trigger event for triggering switching between different sub-meetings in the process of the electronic meeting. A control module breaks the connection between the attendees of the current sub-meeting and the meeting resources defined in the main meeting room of the electronic meeting in response to monitoring the occurrence of the trigger event by the monitoring module. The control module determines the next sub-meeting of the electronic meeting and its attendees according to the meeting agenda, that specifies the sequence of the sub-meetings constituting the meeting and at least one attendee of each sub-meeting. The control module establishes a connection between the attendees of the next sub-meeting and the meeting resources defined in the main meeting room of the electronic meeting.

    • Allocation of buffers for a TCP proxy session between a client and a server by a service gateway includes: monitoring dynamic network behaviors for server and client side sessions of the TCP proxy session; and allocating capacity for a server side buffer and capacity for a client side buffer in a memory buffer based on the dynamic server side network behaviors, the dynamic client side network behaviors, and a weighted average of a capacity of the memory buffer. In one approach to the allocation, the gateway determines whether an available capacity of the server or client side buffer is sufficient to store a data packet. If not sufficient, the allocated capacity of the server or client side buffer is increased based on measurements of the dynamic network behaviors and the weighted average, and the available capacity of the server or client side buffer is adjusted accordingly.
