    • First and second outlet ports are connected to an inlet port. A first valve member selectively blocks and unblocks the first outlet port. A second valve member selectively blocks and unblocks the second outlet port. A first device urges the first valve member. A second device urges the second valve member. A movable member disposed between the first and second valve members allows a force of the first urging device to travel to the second valve member. The movable member can be driven by a solenoid winding. When the solenoid winding is deenergized, the first valve member is moved to its open position by the first urging device and the second valve member is moved against a force of the second urging device to its open position by the first urging device. When the solenoid winding is energized, the first valve member is moved against the force of the first urging device to its closed position by the movable member and the second valve member is moved to its closed position by the second urging device.

    • An antiskid control device including a main line system, a first oil hydraulic source generating a pressurized oil and supplying the oil to wheel cylinders through the main line system, a subline system, and a second oil hydraulic source generating a pressurized oil and supplying the oil to the wheel cylinders through the subline system. The main line system and the first oil hydraulic source are provided for a usual braking operation. The subline system and the second oil hydraulic source are provided for an antiskid control. The main line system has a cut-off valve which opens the main line system in the usual braking operation and closes the main line system in the antiskid control. The subline system has a switching valve which opens and closes the subline system according to a locking condition of the wheel during the antiskid control. The second oil hydraulic source generates a pressurized oil when a locking condition is sensed.

    • The present invention provides a data processing apparatus having a programmable logic and a method for controlling the apparatus. If it is determined that the reconfiguration of the programmable logic is necessary, register setting data for reconfiguring the programmable logic is supplied to the programmable logic. The programmable logic reads out circuit information from a memory storing the circuit information in accordance with the register setting data and reconfigures a function of the programmable logic. A CPU transfers the register setting data to the programmable logic and then transfers data to be processed by the programmable logic whose function has been reconfigured, to the programmable logic.

    • A hydraulic power booster having a lever device disposed in operative association with a reaction piston, a power piston and a valve spool, for moving the valve spool in one of opposite axial directions thereof for applying a pressure of a pressure source into a power chamber to advance the power piston, in response to a relative movement between the reaction and power pistons. The booster is provided with a backup actuator including a cylinder, and a valve drive piston which slidably engages the cylinder. The cylinder and the valve drive piston cooperate with each other to define a first fluid chamber communicating with the power chamber, and a second fluid chamber communicating with a pressure chamber in which a pressure is generated according to an advancing force of the power piston. The valve drive piston moves the valve spool in the above-indicated one axial direction, in engagement with the valve spool, when the valve drive piston is moved in a direction from the second fluid chamber toward the first fluid chamber.

The hydraulic braking system includes a failure detecting feature for producing a power pressure failure signal when the hydraulic power pressure in the booster is lower than the master cylinder pressure by at least a predetermined value, an anti-skid prohibiting device for prohibiting the anti-skid control operation in accordance with the failure signal, and a detection preventing feature for preventing the failure detecting features from producing the failure signal when the hydraulic power pressure in the booster exceeds a predetermined pressure which is lower than a limit pressure for boosting operation of the booster.
