    • Proposed is an object-sensing device including: a carrier base; at least one first conductive element disposed on a carrying surface of the carrier base; a cover capable of resting seamlessly on the carrying surface and provided therein with a receiving space; a resilient element received in the receiving space; at least one second conductive element disposed on a surface of the resilient element, wherein the surface of the resilient element faces the carrying surface, the at least one second conductive element corresponding in position to the at least one first conductive element; and a sensor electrically connected to the first conductive element and an end of the at least one second conductive element and configured to detect electrical contact between each of the first conductive elements and another end of the at least one second conductive element. The sensor generates a first signal upon affirmative determination and generates a second signal upon negative determination to thereby precisely determine whether an object is present on the carrying surface.

The bi-stable mechanism includes a curved-beam disposed on a bending portion of a first cantilever, one end of the first cantilever having a driven portion disposed thereon. The first electro-thermal actuator includes a first beam of a first driven arm disposed on the bending portion. The second electro-thermal actuator includes a second beam of a second driven arm disposed on the bending portion. The ends of the first and second driven arms are adjacent to first and second sides of the driven arm, respectively. Also proposed is an optical switch device including a substrate, a third thermal actuator, and the optical switch member disposed on the substrate to form an optical switch device to thereby integrate the optical switch with variable optical attenuators on the substrate.

    • In a tactile sensing array and its manufacturing method, the tactile sensing array includes first and second electrodes at different layers, conductors provided for cladding intersection positions of the first and second electrodes, and a cladding layer for cladding the first and second electrodes and conductors. Each of the first and second electrodes is a spiral conducting wire wound onto an elastic wire. During manufacture, a cladding layer solution is injected into a mold; first electrodes are installed in rows and apart, and each first electrode includes conductor solution drops; second electrodes are installed at the conductor solution drops; a cladding layer solution is injected again; and vacuum, heating and demolding process are performed. The invention has the effects of high extensibility, high elasticity and low manufacturing cost and prevents damages caused by high deformation when the tactile sensing array is used and covered onto a complicated surface.
