摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the final connection of submerged caissons even at a deep depth almost without requiring the diving work at a low cost in the execution of a submerged tunnel. An upper end 4 a of the coil spring is securely attached to the inner wall surface of the casing 1, and a lower end 4b is securly connected to the lower end of the rod 5. A motor 7 is mounted through the medium of a support structure 6 above the casing 10. The rotation of the motor 7 causes vibrating and elevating of the rod 5 through the medium of an elevating frame 10, and this causes vibrating of the springs 4.

Two sheets of water-shielding sheets are connected by the water-sealing fastener 5 by an underwater work making air at an upper end of the continuous wall 1 at one side as a starting point. The water-shielding sheets 2 are laid on a whole area in the closed area by repeating this work and the inside of this is utilized for a reclaimed land and a disposing place for wastes.
