摘要： Presented herein are four-wheel drive systems incorporating a bi-directional overrunning clutch design to control the torque transmission between front and rear transaxles. In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a four-wheel drive system comprising a front transaxle, a rear transaxle, a transmission receiving drive power from a prime mover, and a bi-directional overrunning clutch drivingly coupled to an output shaft of the transmission and selectively coupled to the front and rear transaxle.

摘要： A power transmission apparatus for a working vehicle has substantially symmetrically disposed first and second transaxles (2), each of which supports a single axle (2), and a working apparatus driving power take-off device (P1,P2) including an input member (26). A gear casing (20) is spanned between the first and second transaxles (2). A primary drive shaft (23) is disposed in the gear casing (20) so as to be drivingly connected to a prime mover (203). A traveling drive train is disposed in the gear casing (20) so as to drivingly connect the primary drive shaft (23) to the input shafts of the respective transaxles (2). A working apparatus drive train is disposed in the gear casing (20) so as to drivingly connect the primary drive shaft (23) to the input member (26) of the working apparatus driving power take-off device (P1,P2).

摘要： A bi-directional overrunning clutch comprising an input gear (206), a pair of hubs, and a roller assembly is provided. Each hub is engaged to an end of one of a pair of shaft segments of a primary drive axle. The roller assembly is disposed within the input gear and about at least a portion of each hub. The roller assembly includes rollers (216) disposed within recesses of the roller assembly. The roller assembly also includes a spring (516) extending from the roller assembly to exert frictional forces between the roller assembly and the hubs. In operation, rotation of the input gear causes rotation of the roller assembly. Thereafter, rotation of the roller assembly causes rotation of the hubs via the engagements between the rollers and the hubs.
