摘要： An air intake system for an internal combustion engine uniformly distributes the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder, and concentrates the mixture in the vicinity of an ignition plug in the cylinder by selecting the direction of supply of sprayed fuel, thereby improving ignitability of the mixture at the time of lean-burn operation. The system produces tumble flow in the cylinder for accelerating combustion and provides lean-burn operation, thereby suppressing consumption of the fuel and reducing the amount of exhaust gas. The fuel is injected by a fuel injection valve and collides with an intake valve, before being atomized. The atomized fuel flows into the cylinder from the side of the intake valve closer to the fuel injection valve. On the other hand, high-velocity air flow from bypass passages enters the cylinder from the side of the intake valve closer to the ignition plug, so as to produce tumble flow in the cylinder.

摘要： A control device in an internal combustion engine, interlocking with a device to generate swirls in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine by providing bypass passages which allow air to bypass a throttle valve for regulating intake air flow rate of the internal combustion engine to control an output power of the internal combustion engine and allow the air to flow in from the side of atmosphere to communicate with air intake ports for respective cylinders on the downstream side of the throttle valve. The device comprises sensors to detect a vehicle speed, a gear position, an opening of an accelerator, an intake air flow rate and the like and a processor to determine an operating state of the internal combustion engine such as a rotating speed, a torque and the like based on the signals from the sensors, calculating an operating condition of the internal combustion engine according to the strength of swirl to be generated based on the operating state, outputting the calculated values as control signals.

摘要： An injector having three concentrated fuel spray bands is used, one of the fuel spray bands is directed to an spark plug, and the others are directed to curved grooves on a piston. The sprays that enter each groove advance along each groove, mutually collide substantially under the spark plug, and are ascended. Further, these spray bands are carried to the vicinity of the spark plug by a tumble flow and stable stratified air-fuel mixture is formed. The intake passage between the air cleaner and the throttle valve assembly is arranged next to and separated by a partition wall from at least one of a negative pressure part of the intake passage downstream of the throttle vale, the intake assembly provided in the negative pressure part and the independent intake pipes, whereby two independent intake spaces are formed on either side of the partition wall.
