    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reducing manufacturing cost and improve durability by simplifying a structure of a sliding bearing.
      SOLUTION: In the sliding bearing 1, since a structure is adopted supporting a plurality of stationary plates 7 respectively provided with a sliding surface 7b slidably contacting a rotating surface 6a of a thrust collar 3 lower end part from a thrust direction by a resin made elastic support member 8 without using for example a multiplicity of coil springs or the like, assembly man hour, material cost or the like of a thrust bearing portion can be reduced. A modulus of compressive elasticity of a support portion of the elastic support member 8 is high or a thickness of the support portion is thin so that elastic deformation of the support portion of the elastic support member 8 in an easily wearing portion of the stationary plates 7 is suppressed. By this, even when the stationary plates 7 are partially worn, a desired fluid lubricating function can be provided and durability can be improved.
