摘要： A process cartridge detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes an electrophotographic photosensitive drum; charging means for electrically charging the drum; developing means for developing a latent image formed on the drum; a grounding contact for electrically grounding the drum to the main assembly; a developing bias contact for receiving, from the main assembly, a developing bias to be applied to the developing means; a charging bias contact for receiving, from the main assembly, a charging bias to be applied to the charging means; and a cartridge coupling member for receiving, from the main assembly, driving force for rotating the drum, the cartridge coupling member being engaged with a main assembly coupling member of the apparatus when the main assembly coupling member is rotated after the process cartridge is mounted. The cartridge coupling member is substantially coaxial with the drum adjacent one longitudinal end of the drum. The grounding, developing bias and charging bias contacts are disposed adjacent a longitudinal end of the drum opposite from the cartridge coupling member. The developing bias and charging bias contacts are each disposed on a side of the process cartridge that extends in a longitudinal direction, to one and the other side of the drum. The grounding contact is substantially coaxial with the drum.

It comprises an electrophotographic photosensitive member, a developing sleeve for supplying magnetic toner to the electrophotographic photosensitive member to develop a latent image formed on the electrophotographic photosensitive member, a magnet disposed within the developing sleeve, and an electrode member for supplying electricity from the image forming apparatus to the developing sleeve when the process cartridge is mounted to the image forming apparatus.
