摘要： A high-speed image forming method and apparatus is capable of directly controlling a toner by the force of an energy beam. Selected toner particles in a mass of toner adhering to the surface of a transparent drum are irradiated with a laser beam emitted by a laser disposed within the transparent drum and controlled for scanning according to image information. The laser beam separates the selected toner particles from the transparent drum by the force it produces on the particles, and then the separated toner particles are moved to a paper sheet by the force of an electric field produced by a developing electrode. Each toner particle need only be irradiated with the light for a comparatively short period of time, so that an image can be formed at high speed.

摘要： An electrophotographic printing apparatus using electric potential dividing development processing without the occurrence of primary fringe and fringe caused by auxiliary exposure has reverse electric fields causing primary fringe and fringe caused by auxiliary exposure adjusted to be nearly equal to each other. The auxiliary exposure is applied to an area surrounding one image, and an electric potential of an intermediate electric potential zone is brought close to a bias electric potential of another image which is not subjected to auxiliary exposure. Further, a white portion to produce a reverse electric potential therein at the rear end of an electric potential portion to be developed with toner, relative to a rotating direction of a developing roller, is exposed with a light intensity forming an electric potential between an electric potential developing an image with toner and the intermediate electric potential, and portions at the front end and the sides are exposed with a light intensity forming the intermediate electric potential.

摘要： A color electrophotographic printer having a printing process which records a toner image of one color or two colors in a pixel by one exposure. The color electrophotographic printer includes a memory which stores exposure data corresponding to respective pixels of input data of an image, a photosensitive body and at least one charger which charges the photosensitive body. At least one exposing machine exposes respective pixels on the photosensitive body based on the exposure data and a developing machine develops toner of one color or two colors in the exposed respective pixels and forms a toner image. A transfer machine transfers the toner image onto a printing medium and a fixing machine having a belt which fixes the transferred toner image on the printing medium. The belt is controlled so that a relative speed difference occurs between the printing medium and the belt at a position along the belt at least when the developed toner of two colors in one pixel of an image of the printing medium is fixed.

Alternatively, a quantity of toner adhering to the background of the photoreceptor 2 is measured by the toner sensor 37 and the toner electric charge sensor 36. When the measured values are lower than the reference values, it is judged that no fringe image is generated in the recording condition, and the printing operation is carried out.

摘要： An aerial recording sheet carrier is provided downstream of a fixing station. The aerial recording sheet carrier has one pair of pressure chambers with wall surfaces facing each other and in parallel. Air jets are arranged on opposite wall surfaces of the pressure chambers. A recording sheet and a toner image from the fixing station are carried by an air stream and cooled down. The toner image on the recording sheet, which is in fusion, is prevented from coming into contact with any parts, such as a recording sheet carrying passage. Thus a stain on parts due to contact with the toner image can be prevented.

摘要： A printing system is provided which ensures easy formation of a plate and regeneration of the plate for continued use. The press plate used in a the printing system to form an image using a water-based ink is characterized in that, (I) prior to formation of a latent image, the surface forming the latent image exhibits extra ink-repellency to the ink to be used; (2) the press plate allows a water soluble material forming the latent image to be deposited thereon; (3) the latent image can be formed by allowing the water soluble material to be deposited on the press plate surface; and (4) the press plate can be regenerated as a plate which allows a new latent image to be formed by washing the press plate with water and drying it, upon completion of ensuing processes of development and transfer.
