    • A powder molding press a die plate provided with a die having a die hole, a punch device to be inserted into the die hole and a hydraulic cylinder device attached to the punch device for driving the same, the hydraulic cylinder device being arranged coaxially with the punch device. A movable punch plate may be disposed on one side of the die plate in parallel thereto with a predetermined space and a punch adapter for securing the punch device to the punch plate may be also disposed. The punch device includes a plurality of punches disposed axially in series. In this connection, a plurality of punch plates, hydraulic cylinder assemblies and punch adapters are arranged in a manner that succeeding cylindrical punches disposed axially in series are secured to corresponding punch plates through corresponding punch adapters each being inserted into a directly preceding punch adapter to be axially movable and that succeeding hydraulic cylinder assemblies for actuating corresponding punch plates are disposed axially in series each between a corresponding punch plate and a directly succeeding punch plate and arranged coaxially with corresponding punch adapters so that the succeeding punch adapter is axially movable along an inner peripheral surface of the through hole of a directly preceding hydraulic cylinder assembly.

    • An apparatus for replacing the tool sets without requiring any fixing or removal of the fluid pressure pipes such as hydraulic hoses or the like when the tool sets are fixed to or removed from the main body of the power molding press. Swing arms 6 having arm lengths set therein are oscillatably and rotatably fitted to the arm shafts 5 vertically installed at proper side locations of the main body 1 of the press in such a way as the rotating radius of the arm shafts may overlap the mounting position of the main body 1 of the press. The extreme ends of the swing arms 6 are provided with supporting boxes 7 on which the tool sets 3 are mounted. Rotation of the swing arms 6 enables the tool sets 3 to be moved toward or away from the centeral part of the main body 1 of the press and then the tool sets 3 to be fixed to or removed from the main body 1 of the press. The fluid pressure pipe passages for driving the tool sets 3 are connected in advance to the operating fluid pressure source at the main body 1 of the press near the aforesaid arm shafts 5 through the joint means following the rotation of the aforesaid swing arms 6.

    • The invention provides a press for powder metallurgy in which a die set installed between an upper ram and a lower ram of a main body of the press can be easily fixed or removed and the accuracy of the molded product is improved. An upper part of the lower ram to which a yoke plate of the die set is installed or is provided with a gap adjusting screw displaceable with thread engagement in vertical direction. A hydraulic actuator or other rotary driving device is fixed to a lower part of the lower ram. A driving shaft of the rotary driving device is connected to the gap adjusting screw by a connecting shaft which passes through an axial center of the lower ram. When the die set is installed in the main body of the press, the gap adjusting screw is retracted within the lower ram so as to assure a sufficient gap between the yoke plate and the lower ram. When insertion of the die set is completed, the gap adjusting screw is advanced forwardly to abut against the yoke plate and thus they can be assembled with a gap having no clearance approximating to zero.
