SOLUTION: The flowmeter includes a flow sensor capable of measuring the instantaneous quantity of flow of forward and backward flows of a fluid; a smoothing means for smoothing the measured instantaneous quantity of flow; an integrating counter for integrating and outputting the smoothed quantity of flow; a determination means for determining the presence or absence of fluctuations of the fluid by monitoring the smoothed quantity of flow; an auxiliary counter for integrating the smoothed quantity of flow instead of the integrating counter while the determination means is determining fluctuations and when it determines the presence of a fluctuating flow; and a control means for restarting the integration of the smoothed quantity of flow by the integrating counter by adding the integrated quantity of flow by the auxiliary counter to the integrating counter when the determination means determines the presence of a normal flow.

SOLUTION: The integrating flowmeter is provided with a thermal flow sensor for measuring an instantaneous flow rate of the fluid passing the specified channel, a flow rate measure which integrates the instantaneous flow rate measured by the flow sensor, outputs a unit flow rate signal when the integrated value reaches a prescribed unit flow rate, and resets the integrated value, and a flow rate integrating means which counts the unit flow rate signal output from the flow rate measure, and obtains an integrated flow rate of the fluid passing the specified channel. The integrating flow meter is provided especially with a pulsation detecting means for detecting a pulsation state of the fluid in the channel, and a flow rate measure changing means which changes largely and sets the unit flow rate turning to interpretation criteria of an integrated value in the flow rate measure, when a pulsation is detected by the pulsation detecting means.
