      SOLUTION: Depth of a bucket 22 for diameter enlarging excavation is detected by a depth detection part 17, and amount of diameter enlargement of a side wall board 30 is detected by a displacement sensor 73. A sequencer A27 calculates the depth and the amount of diameter enlarging excavation and decides an drillable region so that amount of excavation at a time of the bucket 22 for diameter enlarging excavation becomes equal to the set amount of sediment recovery of a bucket 96 for sediment recovery and displays their results on a monitor 35. An operator excavates earth in accordance with the displayed drillable region. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the sediment unable to be completely recovered from dropping into a bottom part of a vertical hole 20 because the amount of sediment recovered at a time in a middle enlarged diameter part 56 reaches the set amount of recovered sediment in the bucket 96 for sediment recovery. In addition, amount of excavated earth in excavation at a time is utilized as the maximum amount of possible sediment recovery of the bucket 96 for sediment recovery so that the number of elevation of the bucket 22 for diameter enlarging excavation onto the ground becomes the minimum required number and efficiency of construction is improved.

      SOLUTION: An excavator 10 with a diameter-enlarged excavating bucket 22 comprises a stabilizer portion 36 which is brought into contact with a hole wall of a pile hole 20 so as to guide the center of a fixed post 24 to a central position of the pile hole 20, and a sediment recovery bucket 96 which is brought into contact with the hole wall of the pile hole 20 so as to guide the center of the fixed post 24 to the central position of the pile hole 20, and which recovers the excavated sediment of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56. At the start of the excavation of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56, the stabilizer portion 36 and the sediment recovery bucket 96 are brought into contact with the hole wall of the pile hole 20, so as to keep the center of the fixed post 24 in the central position of the pile hole 20. Thus, the circularity of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56 can be enhanced. Additionally, since the excavated sediment of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56 is recovered by means of the sediment recovery bucket 96, suspended sediment in the pile hole 20 is reduced, and the excavated sediment can be recovered in a short period of time.
