    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excavating machinery and an excavation method, which enhance the circularity of an intermediate diameter-enlarged portion by reducing the deviation of the central axis of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion and that of a vertical hole from each other, and which enable excavated sediment to be recovered in a short period of time.
      SOLUTION: An excavator 10 with a diameter-enlarged excavating bucket 22 comprises a stabilizer portion 36 which is brought into contact with a hole wall of a pile hole 20 so as to guide the center of a fixed post 24 to a central position of the pile hole 20, and a sediment recovery bucket 96 which is brought into contact with the hole wall of the pile hole 20 so as to guide the center of the fixed post 24 to the central position of the pile hole 20, and which recovers the excavated sediment of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56. At the start of the excavation of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56, the stabilizer portion 36 and the sediment recovery bucket 96 are brought into contact with the hole wall of the pile hole 20, so as to keep the center of the fixed post 24 in the central position of the pile hole 20. Thus, the circularity of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56 can be enhanced. Additionally, since the excavated sediment of the intermediate diameter-enlarged portion 56 is recovered by means of the sediment recovery bucket 96, suspended sediment in the pile hole 20 is reduced, and the excavated sediment can be recovered in a short period of time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bucket for diameter-widening excavation, which can form an intermediate diameter-widened section having a lower inclined surface at an intermediate location of a pile hole, and has general versatility imparted thereto.
      SOLUTION: According to the structure of the bucket, a widening blade section 30 is rotatably suspended from an excavator main body 16, and by rotatively expanding/contracting the widening blade section 30, a hole wall in a shaft 20 is excavated to form the intermediate diameter-widened section 56 at the intermediate location of the shaft 20. The widening blade section 30 has a detachable arm section 34 attached to a lower edge thereof, which arm section 34 is rotated and expanded/contracted together with the widening blade section 30, to thereby form the inclined surface 56C converging to the center of the shaft 20, at a lower portion of the intermediate diameter-widened section 56. Therefore by attaching the arm section 34 conforming to the inclined surface at the intermediate diameter-widened section to be excavated, to the lower edge of the widening blade section 30, the bucket is applicable to excavation of the different inclined surface at the lower portion of the intermediate diameter-widened section.
