      SOLUTION: In the slide gate provided with the function of the gas blowing-in, wherein a gas blowing-in brick 9 passed through with many pores 8 for blowing-in gas into a nozzle hole of a stationary plate 3 is insertion-fit in an insertion-fitting hole 7 under the condition that a nozzle hole 5 of a movable plate 6 making slide-contact linearly with a sliding face 4 of the lower face of the stationary plate is completely closed by a sliding face of the stationary plate, the pores are arranged so that the gas blowing-in direction is made to direct to the inner periphery face of the nozzle hole of the stationary plate, and to form an angle of 5-75° against a perpendicular L to the sliding face.

SOLUTION: The slit state blowing holes 16a, 16b are arranged at the inner peripheral upper part 3u of the peripheral edge parts 15a, 15b mutually faced in the longitudinal direction of the plate base material 2, constituted with the inner peripheral upper part 3u of a frame body 3 and the outer peripheral upper part 11u of the plate base material 2, and this blowing holes 16a, 16b are communicated with a gas passage 12. Therefore, at the time of pouring the molten steel, the invasion of the air from the molten steel pouring hole 10 by passing through fine gap developed between the sliding surface of a fixed plate and the sliding surface 7 of the slide plate 1, is prevented with inert gas blown from the blowing holes 16a, 16b, and it is effectively prevented that the molten steel is oxidized and deteriorated by the invaded air.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of molten steel and to achieve the miniaturization of a refractory for sliding gate according to the miniaturization of the shape of an upper nozzle by arranging a projecting part for positioning, engaged with the lower outer wall or the refractory of a molten metal holding vessel, at the outer periphery at the lower end of the upper nozzle. SOLUTION: In the case of inserting the upper nozzle into a well block 1 in a molten metal holding vessel of a tundish or a ladle, etc., from the lower part, the projecting part 6 for positioning the upper nozzle 2 is engaged by hitting to the lower outer wall 7 or the refractory 11 or the recessed part 10 formed therein in the molten metal holding vessel and the upper nozzle 2 is not inserted into deeper position than the engaging position of the well block 1 and is held at the fixed position in the well block 1. In this way, the interval between the lower surface of the upper nozzle 2 and the upper plate 3 of the sliding gate can be held constant. Therefore, the interval between the lower surface of the upper nozzle 2 and the upper plate 3 of the sliding gate is not enlarged longer than required and small quantity of mortar is enough.
