摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of the communication in a radio system for performing antenna diversity. SOLUTION: Radio equipment for performing the antenna diversity is provided with radio reception means 3 and 4 for receiving radio signals by two or more antennas 1 and 2, a radio transmission means 11 for transmitting signals by using one of the antennas 1 and 2, a signal analysis means 22a for analyzing the contents of the signals received in the radio reception means 3 and 4 and a transmission antenna decision means 12 for deciding the transmission antennas 1 and 2 based on the result of analysis by the signal analysis means 22a. The signal analysis means 22a is provided with a level judgment means 7 for judging the strength of the signals received by the radio reception means 3 and 4 and the transmission antenna decision means 12 decides the transmission antennas 1 and 2 based on the result of judgment by the level judgment means 7.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of ensuring a communication path between a center device and a meter even when a fault takes place in a prescribed channel and no communication is available in a wireless automatic metering system where the ratio of the number of wireless master set to the number of wireless slave sets is selected to be 1:N. SOLUTION: The wireless master set communicates with the wireless slave sets by the specified low power wireless communication and communicates with a center unit 6 via a PHS base station 5 through a PHS channel. Thus, even when the master set A is going to communicate with its upper-stream side unit but the communication is hindered because of occurrence of a fault in a prescribed communication channel, the master set A can employ a wireless channel to reserve an available communication path by bypassing the faulty communication path.

SOLUTION: A communicating function, permitting a fire or gas alarm device 24 to communicate with gas meters 10, 12, is added to the fire or gas alarm device 24 and when the generation of fire or gas is detected, a gas intercepting signal is transmitted to the gas meters to intercept gas by the gas meters. In this case, a microcomputer and a wirelesss communication device 12 incorporated in the gas meters, are under sleeping condition usually, and a certain time is required for the starting of them. Accordingly, the fire or gas alarm device detects a preliminary condition to the generation of fire or gas, and transmits a starting signal to the gas meter and starts the communication device and the microcomputer at the gas meter side previously. Thereafter, when the generation of fire or gas is detected, the alarm device transmits an intercepting signal to intercept gas by the gas meters. According to this method, at time from the detection of generation of fire or gas to the interception of the gas can be shortened.
