摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication control apparatus capable of avoiding malfunctions of communication caused when the type of telephone line is changed. SOLUTION: The communication control apparatus controls communication with a meter installed in a customer home, by utilizing a telephone line wired to the customer home. The communication controller comprising a control part which obtains a voltage of the telephone line by each prescribed period is provided and detects the change in the prescribed value or more of the voltage, thereby determining the change in the type of the telephone line. Since abrupt change of a line voltage is caused during the change construction of the type of the line, it is possible to determine the change in the type of the line by detecting it. Preferably, when the control part determines the change of the type of the telephone line, it calls out at least once to a monitor center for monitoring the meter; and when it can communicate with the monitor center by a call-out, it transmits a line type change notice to the monitor center, and when it cannot communicate therewith, it halts a communication control operation with the monitor center.

SOLUTION: When starting a radio wave propagation test, the test switch of a wireless base unit 6 is turned on (step 30). Thus, the wireless base unit 6 is turned into signal transmission inhibit mode. A wireless hand set 7 transmits a test signal to the wireless base unit 6 (step 31). When the signal is received, the wireless base unit 6 turns on an indicator for reception confirmation or sounds a buzzer but does not send the test signal to a center 2 (step 32). At the time of test end, by turning off a test switch 10 of the wireless base unit 6, the signal transmission inhibit mode is canceled.

Thus, the ISDN line is easily connected to the remote controller that is an outdoor communication terminal.

Since the gas information and the fire information are collected to the gas center, for instance, the predictive capability of the so-called TEMPURA (deep batter fried food) fire being the highest cause of a fire can be improved and security activity such as more appropriate and quick dispatching of fire-fighting can be connected.
