摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a communication success rate even at a condition that received power becomes low by controlling the maxim number of times of retransmission of data when the initial transmission from a slave machine to a master machine is failed. SOLUTION: When a carrier detection means 41a detects a start message from a master machine to a slave machine 40, a return means 41b returns a response message to the master machine. A setting operation part 48 sets whether the return means 41b transmits data that a gas meter 20 measures once by the response message or consecutively transmits them three times. Namely, a setting operation part 48 is controlled at a site in accordance with received power level from the slave machine 40 to the master machine. When received power is low, it is considered that a communication success rate is deteriorated. Thus, data are set to consecutive three times transmission when the measured value of received power, which is measured at the time of site execution, is less than a prescribed value. When received power exceeds the prescribed value, data are set so that they are transmitted only once.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic communicator that brings efficiency to setting jobs so as to avoid wrong settings and enhance the reliability if a call destination of a slave unit is changed depending on maintenance or the like of a center being a call destination. SOLUTION: The automatic communicator is configured such that a master unit 4 is provided with a master unit destination setting section 44 and a call condition setting section 45 and the master unit connects with a destination that is set by the master unit destination setting section 44 independently of designation by a destination by a slave unit when the destination by the master unit is set by taking precedence over others as call conditions. Thus, even when a plurality of slave units 5 are connected to the automatic communicator, the call destination is changed by having only to change the settings of the master unit 4 so as to bring efficiency to the setting jobs and even for a temporary change of the destination, since no setting change is required for the slave units 5, wrong settings are not caused to enhance the reliability.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of ensuring a communication path between a center device and a meter even when a fault takes place in a prescribed channel and no communication is available in a wireless automatic metering system where the ratio of the number of wireless master set to the number of wireless slave sets is selected to be 1:N. SOLUTION: The wireless master set communicates with the wireless slave sets by the specified low power wireless communication and communicates with a center unit 6 via a PHS base station 5 through a PHS channel. Thus, even when the master set A is going to communicate with its upper-stream side unit but the communication is hindered because of occurrence of a fault in a prescribed communication channel, the master set A can employ a wireless channel to reserve an available communication path by bypassing the faulty communication path.

SOLUTION: Master units 30 exchange data with a center 10 through public lines 50. A slave unit 40 is connected to a gas meter 20 and exchanges data with the units 30 by a radio signal. The unit 40 is deployed so that it can communicate with the plurality of master units 30, and the center 10 selects which master unit 30 is to communicate with the unit 40. When the selected master unit 30 fails in communication with the unit 40, another master unit 30 is selected to communicate with the unit 40.

The read-out quantity of water consumed data is converted to data which can be displayed by the processing part 3 and displayed by a display part 5. After that, communication with the electronic water meter is performed every hour to update and display the quantity of water consumed. As the display part 5 is extinguished after the end of an operation test on a display device 1, the display part is kept from being in store in its lighted state so as to prevent wasteful consumption of a battery.

Also, the indicator 5 displays a measured numerical value of the maximum demand dynamometer and each separate time zone display.
