    • PURPOSE:To make improved soil affinitive to a lower layer and a side wall excellently by allowing improved soil to permeate in agrid and enhance a ground improvement effect by wrapping improved soil with a geotextile between the lower layer and an upper layer, in which original-position soil and a solidifying material are mixed and agitated. CONSTITUTION:A poor subsoil is excavated and a recessed section 2 is formed, the bottom ground of the recessed section 2 is agitated by a bucket mixing system, and cement 6and EPS beads 7 are mixed with original-position soil 5 and an improved-body lower layer 3 is formed. A geotextile sheet 4 is laid on the improved-body lower layer 3, and the side edge section of the sheet 4 is overhung to the outside of the recessed section 2. The excavated original-position soil 5, cement 6 as a solidifying material, the EPS beads 7 and water 8 are mixed by a mixer 9 and the inside of the recessed section 2, in which the sheet 4 is laid, is impregnated with improved soil 10. The peripheral section of the improved soil 10 is wrapped and fixed by the overhung geotextile sheet 4, and an improved-body upper layer is executed. Accordingly, the safety and workability are improved, a ground improving body resists banking and car load, and settlement and side flowing are prevented and the ground improving body can be constructed at a low cost.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground improving method for improving contaminated soil in the ground to be non-contaminated soil, or improving soft ground to be good-quality ground in which uniformly improved matter is formed to a specified top end. SOLUTION: A ground improving device 100 is used, a cutter post 3 is fixed to an expected construction position, an endless chain is circulated, and ground improving material 10 is supplied from a grouting pipe 6 provided on a ground surface 20 or the cutter post 3, while the cutter post 3 is lowered to cut the ground 20. The ground soil is mixed and agitated with the improving material 10, the mix g is carried above the ground by the endless chain circulating the mix g to be continuously discharged, the discharged mix g is deposited on the ground, and when it reaches depth of a lower end, a circulating direction of the endless chain 3 is changed into a direction to carry the mix g on the ground into the ground. As the mix g is supplied into the ground by a carrying function of the endless chain 3, the cutter post 3 is pulled upward. The cutter post 3 is pulled while the mix g is mixed and agitated again by circulation of the endless chain 3 to fill the mix g to a hole after the cutter post 3 is pulled off. A column of the mix g having a rectangular cross section is thus formed in the ground.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely expand and shrink a digging stirring blade provided at many steps or a blade for preventing turn together with the digging stirring blade by a simple expansion and shrinkage mechanism in a soil improvement machine so as to improve the mixing property of cement milk and soil greatly. SOLUTION: A digging rotary shaft 1 for a soil improvement machine has a double pipe structure consisting of an inner pipe 2 and an outer pipe 3, and the inner pipe 2 and the outer pipe 3 are arranged in such a way that they can rotate integrally and slide relatively in the axial direction. Digging stirring blades are arranged at many steps at an interval in the axial direction in the outer pipe 3, and a basic part of the digging stirring blade is supported on the outer pipe 3 in such a manner that the digging stirring blade can rotate freely in the direction in which its outside diameter is expanded and shrunk. The digging stirring blade 5-1 on a tip side of the outer pipe is expanded and shrunk due to the slide of an expansion and shrinkage guide member 8 provided in a tip part of the inner pipe 2, and the digging stirring blade 5-2 on a basic end side of the outer pipe is expanded and shrunk due to the slide of a guide mounting member 12 and an expansion and shrinkage guide member 11 which are provided in the inner pipe 2 and can move in the axial direction in a slit 13 of the outer pipe.
