摘要： PURPOSE:To make improved soil affinitive to a lower layer and a side wall excellently by allowing improved soil to permeate in agrid and enhance a ground improvement effect by wrapping improved soil with a geotextile between the lower layer and an upper layer, in which original-position soil and a solidifying material are mixed and agitated. CONSTITUTION:A poor subsoil is excavated and a recessed section 2 is formed, the bottom ground of the recessed section 2 is agitated by a bucket mixing system, and cement 6and EPS beads 7 are mixed with original-position soil 5 and an improved-body lower layer 3 is formed. A geotextile sheet 4 is laid on the improved-body lower layer 3, and the side edge section of the sheet 4 is overhung to the outside of the recessed section 2. The excavated original-position soil 5, cement 6 as a solidifying material, the EPS beads 7 and water 8 are mixed by a mixer 9 and the inside of the recessed section 2, in which the sheet 4 is laid, is impregnated with improved soil 10. The peripheral section of the improved soil 10 is wrapped and fixed by the overhung geotextile sheet 4, and an improved-body upper layer is executed. Accordingly, the safety and workability are improved, a ground improving body resists banking and car load, and settlement and side flowing are prevented and the ground improving body can be constructed at a low cost.

SOLUTION: An axis of a cutter bit 7 is tilted from its root side to the tip side in the circulation direction of an endless chain 1, so that the tip of the cutter bit can be made to bite even into a hard ground and the cutter bit 7 is prevented from slipping or turning over. Components of a pressing force FP of a cutter post 9 and a tension of the endless chain 1 in the axis direction of the cutter bit 7 act as the biting force into the ground to drastically improve a drilling ability. Additionally, because the ground is drilled on the pull down side, a kick force fK for progressing the cutter post 9 from the bottom of the ground and a press reactive force fT directing from deposited sediment to drilled ground operate. Therefore, delay of the lower part due to the deflection of the cutter post 9 is eliminated, and thus vertical modification is not required and a drilling efficiency is largely improved.

A mixture of sediment and a solidifying agent or a mixture of the sediment and solidifying agent and an additive such as foam beads, rice hulls, a bubble generator, a clinker, and steel fibers may be installed on the columnar bodies 20 to form a shallow improved earth layer. The consolidation settlement of the road can be suppressed.
