摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the usefulness of a shield excavator as to coupling strength and the ease with which it is installed and removed by connecting an auxiliary excavator to the side portion of a main shield machine by means of bolts, etc., for excavating portions around the main shield machine, and providing a recessed portion having outwardly tapered opposite surfaces on the circumferential wall portion of the main shield machine, and providing the auxiliary excavator with a projecting portion. CONSTITUTION:A recessed portion 16 and a projecting portion 26 are provided, respectively, on the circumferential wall portion of a main shield machine 10 and on the side portion of an auxiliary excavator 20, and are fitted and connected together by means of bolts. The recessed portion 16 and the projecting portion 26 are therefore acted upon by a force in a specific direction so that no shearing force is applied to the bolts. The recessed portion 16 is formed into tapered opposite surfaces 16a each of which opens outwards and a bottom surface 16b. The projecting portion 26 is formed with tapered opposite surfaces 26a which make close contact with the opposite surfaces 16a and a projecting end surface 26b, both of which are joined to the shield 22 of the auxiliary excavator 20. Thus the need for adjusting the connection of the shield machine 10 and the auxiliary excavator 20 in their crossing direction is eliminated. Sufficient coupling strength can then be provided without using numerous strong bolts.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sediment from excessively flowing into a sediment intake chamber from a working face through gaps between rotary cutters. SOLUTION: In a multiple shield excavators, a plurality of rotary cutters 2a, 2b, 2c are arranged at predetermined intervals, and a common sediment chamber 20 is provided in rear of these cutters 2a, 2b, 2c, and is provided with partition panels 24 for partitioning the sediment intake opening 18 of the sediment chamber 20 for every cutter. The rotary cutters are axially shifted from one another while overlapped with each other. The partition panels 24 are provided with sediment flow inflow preventing members 26 for blocking the sediment flowing into the sediment chamber 20 through gaps between the front and rear surfaces 14, 17 of the cutters 2a, 2b, 2c, the members 26 being formed along the partition panels 24.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, safely, and continuously excavate an intermediate tunnel between a pair of tunnels at low cost and in as short a period as possible. SOLUTION: In a shield tunnel excavating method by which a multiple shield tunnel 13 is constructed from a starting-end vertical shaft 10 to a terminating- end vertical shaft 11, a pair of tunnels and an intermediate tunnel 13 located halfway between them are excavated by a shield excavator 12 provided with a cutter disk having a rotary cutter 20 in its center and having a rotary/ oscillating cutter on its circumference, with the intermediate tunnel 13 excavated by the rotations of the rotary cutter 20 and the rotary/oscillating cutter, after which a shield excavator 12 is turned at the terminating-end vertical shaft 11. The rotary cutter 20 of the cutter disk is rotated along the tunnel 13, and as the rotary/oscillating cutter is oscillated one of the tunnels is excavated; then the shield excavator 12 is turned again at the starting-end vertical shaft 10, the rotary cutter 20 is rotated, and the other tunnel is excavated as the rotary/oscillating cutter is oscillated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To excavate a tunnel which is so formed as to have an almost flat lower portion by deciding most part of a tunnel opening using a first cutter face, and surely drilling a front working face with a second cutter face. CONSTITUTION:A first cutter face 10 is installed the outer form of which when seen from the front side is like a fan including a circular portion extending along the upper portion of a tunnel and which has drilling blades 11 and earth inlets 12 radially disposed therein and which oscillates about the center O of curvature of the circular portion. A tunnel opening which is so formed as to have a circular upper portion and a rectilinear lower portion is almost determined by the first cutter face 10. A second cutter face 20 which has drilling edges 21 and earth inlets 22 disposed therein and which rotates or oscillates within an angle range larger than the angle S of oscillation of the first cutter face 10 is installed near the center of the radial arrangement of the first cutter face 10. A front working face is surely drilled by the second cutter face 20.

摘要： PURPOSE:To drill holes in an obstacle by a shield machine itself for its removal by setting the top end of a slide hood movably in longitudinal direction, oscillating the slide hood in circumferential direction of a cutter head, and cutting and eliminating as it is clamped. CONSTITUTION:A cutter head 1 is attached at the top end of a device main body A. Also a slide hood 2 to the top of which a cutter bit 2a is attached is installed on the upper periphery surface of the device main body A including the cutter head 1. The slide hood 2 is forced out forward by a slide jack 3. A hood longitudinal slide hole 4 and a hood oscillation hole 5 are drilled in the device main body A according to the movement of the slide jack 3. Then, when the cutter head 1 is rotated in forward direction, soil is dug, and encountered with an obstacle, a fixed bit 11 is bitten into an object to be cut and broken. Under this condition, a rotation detector for the cutter head 1 detects a variation in rotating torque, and stops the rotation of the cutter head 1. Lastly a movable bit 10 opposed to the fixed bit 11 bitten into the object to be broken is driven to cut or break the object to be cut and broken.

CONSTITUTION:Vertical shafts 2 and 4 are provided at both ends of an underground railroad station building 6, and a single core type shield excavator 6 excavating a tunnel t-1 is reformed into a three-core type widening excavator 10 in the starting end vertical shaft 2. The reformation is made by adding different shield excavators at both sides of the single-core type excavator 6. After that, a tunnel t-4 of the station building is excavated by the three-core type excavator 10, and when it reaches the terminal end vertical shaft 4, the three-core excavator 10 is restored to the single core type excavator 6, and the next tunnel t-2 is excavated. According to the constitution, a construction cost can be reduced.
