    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building which enables removal of structural members including columns and beams from a corner space on upper stories while ensuring necessary strength, to thereby provide habitable rooms with a good view.
      SOLUTION: The building 1 is constructed of: a core 2 which is located at the center thereof in a plan and has high horizontal rigidity imparted thereto; a plurality of planar frames 5 which are each formed of the columns 3 and beams 4, structurally independent from each other, and face to the outside; and slabs 6 on the respective stories, which are borne by the core 2 and the planar frames 5. According to the structure of the building 1, on the lower stories 11 not higher than a predetermined story, frame connecting beams 8 each connecting between the planar frames 5 are arranged to form tubular external frames 9. Therefore the lower stories 11 not higher than the predetermined story have a double tube frame 21 consisting of the core 2 and the external frame 9.
