Thus, the valve open state is more easily checked visually.

    • The portable insulating receptacle has a receptacle main body containing an inner shell, an outer shell and a heat-insulating section defined between the inner shell and the outer shell, and a cover removably applied to an opening of the receptacle main body. The insulating receptacle has on the outer shell non-slip means over a zone covering both a center of gravity when the receptacle is full and a center of gravity when the receptacle is empty. The portable insulating receptacle has a cylindrical shape which reduces toward the top or bottom. The non-slip means is a recess, ridge or corrugated portion which is formed integrally with the outer shell or a synthetic resin non-slip member attached to the outer shell.

    • A plug device for a liquid container is presented to enable cleaning of a flow passage of the liquid container as well as to eliminate the liquid being left in the flow passage during the operation of the liquid container, thus providing hygienic and safe operation of the container. The plug device consists of an outer plug member and an inner plug member which is detachably attached to the outer plug member. When the members are assembled, a flow passage is formed automatically to enable access to the liquid stored in the container. When a press button provided on the inner plug member is pressed down, the opening disposed at the bottom of a plunger device remains open, resulting in the interior space of the container being connected with the flow passage via the internal liquid passage. In this condition, the container can be tilted to dispense the liquid from the container. When the dispensation is completed, and the container is uprighted, the liquid in the flow passage is returned to the interior space of the container via a tapered surface formed on the inner plug member, thus leaving no liquid in the flow path. The plunger device is operated again to close off the opening, and thereby offering safe operation and enabling to maintain the quality of the liquid stored in the container, by removing a potential source of contamination from the residual liquid.

    • A bi-directional closure to dispense liquid through the open mouth of a container having a projecting handle. The closure includes a closing member fitting into the container open mouth to seal the mouth and the closing member has a pair of spaced outlet ports. A lid is rotatably mounted relative to the closing member and has a pair of spaced liquid pouring openings and a pair of spaced air holes and an operating lever is mounted on one of the closing member and lid and projects therefrom for rotating one relative to the other. When the lid is in a home position relative to the closing member with the operating lever aligned with the container handle the pair of outlet ports of the closing member are sealed. Rotation of the lid relative to the closing member in one direction from the home position by a predetermined amount to a first position by moving the operating lever aligns a respective one of the lid pouring openings with a closing member outlet port and one of the lid air holes with the other of the closing member outlet ports. Rotation of the lid relative to the closing member in a second direction opposite to the first direction by a predetermined amount to a second position by operating the lever aligns the other of the lid pouring openings with the other outlet port of the closing member and the lid one other air hole with the closing member one outlet port. The arrangement permits use by a person who uses either the right or left hand.
