摘要： A scroll compressor includes fixed and movable scrolls, each scroll having a spiral lap placed on one surface of a plate. The lap of the fixed scroll and the lap of the movable scroll are interlocked to form a compression chamber between the laps of the scrolls which are adjacent to each other. At least one of the laps has a spiral shape in which a base radius of an involute decreases as a winding angle increases in a region extending from a winding start part to a winding middle part, and the base radius of the involute in a region extending from the winding middle part to a winding end part is larger than the smallest value of the base radius of the involute in the region extending from the winding start part to the winding middle part.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a scroll member for a compression mechanism installed in a scroll compressor includes a casting step and a cutting step. An iron casting is formed in the casting step, which includes a spiraling part. The iron casting obtained in the casting step is cut during the cutting step in order to obtain a final shape of the scroll member. The iron casting may include a fixed part having a central portion with a first axial thickness and an external periphery portion with a second axial thickness larger than the first axial thickness before the cutting step. A dimension of a specified portion of the spiraling part may be larger before the cutting step is performed than after the cutting step is performed, with the specified portion preferably disposed toward an external periphery of the spiraling part.

摘要： A compressor includes a casing, a compression mechanism, a drive shaft, a main frame, a motor, a flow path forming member, and a temperature measuring mechanism. The casing stores lubricating oil in its bottom portion. The main frame has the compression mechanism placed on it and supports the drive shaft in such a way that the drive shaft may freely rotate. The flow path forming member forms an oil flow path at a space adjacent an inner peripheral surface of the casing. The oil flow path carries a flow of lubricating oil, which lubricates sliding portions including the compression mechanism and the drive shaft. The temperature measuring mechanism is disposed outside the casing. The temperature measuring mechanism measures the temperature of a section of an outer peripheral surface of the casing adjacent the oil flow path.

The composition contains a base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 3.7-4.1 mm2/s, and composed of base oil having the viscosity of 2.5-4.5 mm2/s, and base oil having the viscosity of 10-40 mm2/s; 1-20 mass % poly(meth)acrylate viscosity index improver having Mw of 15000-300.00; 2-4 mass % imide friction modifier having a C8-C30 hydrocarbon group; 0.01-0.04 mass % phosphorus extreme pressure agent in terms of phosphorus; and 0.01-0.04 mass % ashless dispersant having at least one alkyl or alkenyl group of a number average molecular weight of ≧2000 in terms of nitrogen, all with respect to the total amount of the composition, and has the viscosity of 5.6-5.8 mm2/s.

摘要： There is disclosed a traction drive fluid which comprises a base oil blended with (A) an active phosphate ester base compound, (B) a boron-containing imide base dispersant (e.g. polyalkenyl succinimide treated with a boron compound) and (C) a boron-free imide base dispersant (e.g. polyalkenyl succinimide) in such blending amounts that the phosphorus content derived from the component (A) and the boron content derived from the component (B) are each 100 to 600 ppm, preferably 60 to 300 ppm by weight, and at least 60 ppm by weight, respectively based on the base oil, and the boron-free imide base dispersant (C) is blended so that the ratio by weight of the nitrogen in the component(C) to the boron in the component (B) is at least 1, preferably 1 to 6. The traction drive fluid has excellent wear resistance and excellent scoring resistance of a steel material element, is capable of suppressing surface damage such as peeling of a friction material and in particular, is well suited for use as a lubricating oil for a traction drive continuous variable transmission used in an automobile.
