    • PURPOSE:To realize effective chemical reactions of various kinds of substances with a simplified structure in which partition walls are provided in a vertical cylindrical tank to form two fluidized bed compartments and particles are circulated in both the fluidized beds. CONSTITUTION:The two large partition walls 3a and 3b are provided in the vertical cylindrical tank 1 and also the small partition wall 4 is provided between the large partition walls to divide the tank 1 into four compartments I to IV. The lower part of the compartments I and III is provided with the porous bed 5 for the dispersion of fluidizing gas and each compartment is packed with the particles 2 which are circulated in the arrow direction by fluidizing gas supplied from the nozzles 8 and 9 into between the compartments I and III. The particles 2 between the compartment I and III move through the compartment II and IV to the lower and upper through holes with the inclined plates 7a and 7b, and raw materials and combustion gas for gasification enter the respective charging openings 10 and 11 formed gas and combustion exhaust gas go out of the respective outlets 12 and 13.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an initial cost without generating forth by previously using separated water by directly supplying air and foaming agent into sludge and stirring and mixing the sludge, then adding a high-polymer flocculating agent to the mixture, introducing the mixture into a flotation tank, floating the solid content in the sludge of the mixture together with the bubbles and separating the same. CONSTITUTION:The foaming agent 3 and the air 2 from an air diffuser 12 are supplied into a mixing tank 11 to which the sludge 1 is supplied. The mixture composed of the bubbles and the sludge is formed by the rotation of a stirrer 13. The bubbles/air mixture is supplied together with the high-polymer flocculating agent 4 into a line mixer 14 by which the mixture is flocculated and mixed. The flocculated mixture is introduced into the flotation tank 8. The solid content in the sludge floats together with the bubbles and is thickened in the flotation tank 8, by which the sludge is separated to the thickened sludge 9 and separated water 10. There is no need for a bubble generator according to this configuration and since the separated water is partly circulated and used to generate the bubbles, the device is simplified and the cost thereof is reduced.
