    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating organic wastewater, for effectively reducing the generation quantity of sludge, facilitating normal solid-liquid separation in a solid-liquid separation process and enhancing the dehydration properties of excessive sludge. SOLUTION: In the method for treating organic wastewater by introducing organic wastewater into a treatment system having an aeration tank 1 and a solid-liquid separation tank 2 respectively provided to the front and rear stages thereof to subject the same to aerobic biological treatment, sludge containing spores of endospore forming bacteria is drawn out of the solid-liquid separation tank 2 to be guided to a sludge modifying tank 3 positioned in the front stage of the aeration tank 1 and subsequently guided to the aeration tank 1. In this case, the amount of sludge guided to the sludge modifying tank 3 is made twice-quintuple the amount of organic wastewater introduced into the treatment system and spores of endospore forming bacteria in sludge are germinated by organic wastewater supplied to the aeration tank 2 to be converted to nursing cells and a single or composite compound containing silicon and magnesium is added to treat organic wastewater while propagating nursing cells.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control method for a water treating facility which solves the problems of the conventional process not having a chemical dosing means and withdrawing, mixing and returning means and enables the control to make the treating facility odorless and to decrease the smells of the generated sludge in the process having the means described above. SOLUTION: The biological water treating facility having an aeration tank 4 provided with an aeration means 41 and a sedimentation separation tank 5 and a returning process step of returning at least part of the sludge subjected to the separation of solid from the liquid in the sedimentation separation tank 5 has the chemical dosing means 30 for promoting activated sludge treatment in the fore process step including the returning process step before the aeration tank 4. The facility has a means 40 for circulating and mixing the material to be treated which withdraws part of the water to be treated and/or the sludge to be treated from the aeration tank 4 and returns the same to the aeration tank after mixing the same with a chemical to promote the reforming of the sludge. At least one of the aeration means 41, the chemical dosing means 30 and the means 40 for circulating and mixing the material to be treated which withdraws part of the water to be treated and/or the sludge to be treated are controlled by the output of a detector which is disposed in the water treating facility and detects odorous materials.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic wastewater treatment device capable of effectively reducing the amount of sludge generated and easily performing normal solid-liquid separation in a sedimentation vessel or the like and to provide an organic wastewater treatment process using the device. SOLUTION: This treatment device is provided with an aerobic biological treatment device for subjecting organic wastewater to activated sludge treatment, and a spore germination vessel for mixing sludge containing endospore forming bacteria with a germination promoter and germinating spores of the endospore forming bacteria, to convert the spores into vegetative cells and to produce a mixed liquid containing the vegetative cells of endospore forming bacteria wherein the mixed liquid thus produced in the spore germination vessel is supplied to the aerobic biological treatment device. This treatment process for feeding organic wastewater into the aerobic biological treatment device to subject the organic wastewater to activated sludge treatment, comprises: mixing sludge containing endospore forming bacteria with a germination promoter and germinating spores of the endospore forming bacteria, to convert the spores into vegetative cell; and supplying the resulting sludge containing the vegetative cells of endospore forming bacteria to the aerobic biological treatment device.
